The Dark Knight Rises

I thought it was good not great. Slightly disappointed, but that's because I had really high expectations. I enjoyed it--just not as good as the Dark Knight, and I was expecting it to be better.

+1 :cool-smiley-008:

Going tomorrow. Big fan of the first two. Cant wait to see Nolan put a finish on it.

This movie has to much real death attached to it. First Ledger dies during dark knight filming and now the shooting. Pretty weird.

I was very disappointed with this one in comparison to the previous Dark Knight films. Wont go to far into it so I don't spoil

spoiler alert

bring a gun and a local militia if you're planning on finishing the movie alive.

sad to say that this third installment of nolans batman was just... well..

drivel for the masses if you ask me.

i expect more from nolan, even if it is a comic book movie.

the fx and cool shit was cool the first and second time... was really hoping for some sort of harder hitting story line here... but nope, same old same old.

Catwoman was the best part. Batman wasn't even in like half the movie. Slow scenes galore in this one. Opening and Closing scenes were awesome.

I had looked at the cast listing on IMDB before seeing the film, and it ruined some of it, but they have since changed it.

The main thing about these films that I don't like is the score that plays for the entire film. Especially when there is a guy with a mask over his mouth that speaks with a thick accent.

I liked how they never actually called her Catwoman, and she had a suit that wasn't actually a costume, but still looked like a Catwoman suit. The comic fans I know of don't like the ending, because it merges several points in the story and doesn't make sense chronologically (which happens in all these films), but I thought it was a great way to end it.

^ I agree... the score felt manipulative rather than complimentary.... kinda like Lost or walking dead. In those shows it feels like the score makes up for the lacking script and dialogue and fills most of the emotional blanks. Which is ok, but not to this extreme.

Joseph Gordon Levitt was the one redeeming thing in this film. I never thought I would think this, but he might actually make a really good Robin. Which is saying a lot considering how super lame Robin is.

I don't pay attention to "Critic" scores... Much more interested in what the mass public says.

Heath Ledger as the Joker was the all time best fucking character in a movie EVER. Nothing can top that IMO, but this movie was good.. just not fucking awesome like The Dark Knight. I give it 8 out of 10.
