Dunno if you guys read about this or not but the other day Spanish authorities foiled what might have been an al-Qaeda terrorist attack on Gibraltar planned to coincide with the Olympics...

Most of the people I know here go into Gib every day to work for the gaming interests there including my girlfriend who works for Bwin.Party. Other people I know live in La Linea, the border town in Spain, just down the street from where these guys were living and storing 300lbs of explosives. The authorities think there might still be potential gunmen at large.

I'd tend to agree.. but OP's girlfriend has business close to the alleged threat zone. Makes it much more real when it's close to home.

No, I don't actually believe news that was witnessed by thousands of people here, which appeared on the televised news, and which was recanted to me first hand by people living in the same block as them, including the flying of motorized paragliders in restricted zones prior to these arrests, and the evacuation of the immediate area to clear the 300lbs of explosives. It was reported by just about every major news outlet around the world. Yeah, I just made all this shit up :eek7:
