Kick ass. I missed these shows, and since Shark Tank is back, I'm assuming Dragons Den Canada should be showing up on Youtube soon?

Good deal, summer is finally over. Well, sucks for many of you guys, because you now have to endure another cold winter, but good for me!

lol @ the first college kid for turning down $200k from Cuban.

Best show on TV. College kid was a tool listening to his professor rather than going with his gut. Have Mark Cuban as partner or college professor who teaches college because he was never able to amount to anything in real life... hmmm, I'll take the college professor.

Steve Wynn disagrees with Mark Cuban.

Exact same thing I was thinking when I watched that.

After seeing such a poor decision, if I was Mark, I'd be either really glad he didn't accept so I wouldn't have to deal with a moron, or really bummed because I wouldn't be able to take control of, and sell, a business out from under a moron.

^^^ Hear and see what Mark Cuban says at 4:16 on the tape.

Not a fan of mark on the show. Hes almost as bad as that guy on dragons den who just gives out money for charity.

Obviously the kid wanted to do the deal with Marc, and from our armchair venture capitalist position, it looks like it would've easily been the best decision.

However his business partner / college professor backed down. Why?

Looks like the guy probably already has good money from being a professor and the venture capital stuff he did in the past.

This is a good article about this. It All Changes When the Founder Drives a Porsche

When the guy already has money, they're more willing to wait it and take more risk for possibly a bigger payday.

Should the kid have said fuck it and just go with more? Well the problem is the professor's his business PARTNER. We don't know what kind of legal ramifications/issues there would've been.

I'm definitely looking forward to Lori being on the show. Seems like Barbara / Lori gets the most shit done whenever they re-visit their investments.

Uhhhh, it was $25k for 33% and dude has like 6 sites doing the same thing now, in addition to 10 employees the last time they re-visited them. They are also making and selling toys (cats and such), due to Shark Tank connections.

Hate all you want, but it makes money.

Because he's greedy and short-sighted?

I'm sorry, but unless your George Soros or something, if Mark Cuban wants to invest in and do business with you, you don't say no.

I agree! His collage professor is a professor for a reason. Fail at real business! The kid is a TOTAL idiot! He could leverage his partnership and work with Mark for future success. Working with "ANY" of the sharks is like having the ultimate feather in your cap. derp!

Have to agree, that was easily the dumbest investment I've seen on the show.

But, what do I know. He could be making bank off that site. I mean, it's scalable. Just hire people on elance to make 100 cats drawings for .01 each and resell each one for $10 = win.

I have drawn 8,601 cats for people all over the world. I want to draw a cat for you.

8,601*$9.95= $851,520.50
