Spain Is Crazy Tonight

We are ALL peasants, unless you got a trillion bucks. Never forget that.

Going to Spain in a month myself.

I was going to say this.

John Paul Getty: “If you can actually count your money, you are not really a rich man. " :(

A little bit ??? 52% of ppl under 25 without a job or any type of economic support and then they spend 45 millions on an aeroport that receives 1 flight per week, or that spain has more official cars than the US ?

Cmon men !!!

Under 25? Does that number includes pupils and students? Even if its 18-25 does that include 12th grade pupils and all the students? Nice way to inflate the number. Also add those who does not actually need a job or does not look for it because they live with their parents.

Maybe peasant wasn't the best e-term. Maybe sheeple is more appropriate. Although frequently the poor are the ones who just don't get it here.

The worldwide crisis is by design all over the world.

Not really, in this case peasants just means some tool who does not understand how the economy works and one that is going to protest because he will get less free money. Peasant is not the state of wealth or occupation, its state of mind.

Non students.... ppl that are applying for jobs and thats government numbers, do you think the government would inflate that when theyre trying to sell their bonds (debt) to the world every month?

How to create government jobs:

Step 1 : Austerity
Step 2 : Riots
Step 3 : End Riots
Step 4 : Hire street cleaners and construction workers.

Problem?

Geez, and Spainiards are typically known to be really laid back, easy going, and lazy. Just wait until this shit hits the US, where people riot over a pair of Nikes, and there's over 200 million privately owned firearms.

would never happen bro.

I am proud of the SPanish for showing up like this.

The masses here as simply too ignorant and self absorbed to do something as a group. Unless something affects them directly bad enough...like the draft during the Vietnam war.

I might be leaving Spain soon.

Just by the comment, you are probably not in Madrid. Probably a tourist in Barca.

I figure it to get much worst than it is now. The south is where it is really hurting.

I however do know that most my friends that could leave, have left for jobs in other countries. The ones that stay, are the ones with Government jobs who basically cannot get fired.

Laid back and easy going, I guess, but will protest anything, and at any time. Some years back, truckers protested by blocking (and thus shutting down) all the major highways into Madrid. Taxi's, Metro, they shut down everything when they want to protest.

When I was a little boy I was playing riot police using Lego-men. I was building little riot police cars, arming Lego policemen with batons, water canons and all that useful gear. There was a lot of police brutality in my plays, much more than in so disappointing reality.
OP just brought these beautiful memories back.

They're angry about that painting restoration attempt by the lady in Borja.

These protests make great TV but achieve nothing.

Spain went crazy with property like we did in Ireland and in a single currency we all have to deleverage which is painful. Just gotta suck it up.

Well Spain banks are still bankrolling Real Madrid and Barcelona which spend crazy amount of salaries to players like these:

"The problem is you're focusing on the things in life that don't really matter. When I was a kid I had hopes and dreams. We all did. But over time, the daily grind gets in the way and you miss the things that really matter, even though they ...are right in front of you, staring you in the face. I think the next time you should ask yourself "Am I on the right track here?". I don't mean to be rude but people like you I really pity. So maybe you could use the few brain cells you have and take advantage of the knowledge I have given you now. Good luck."

Here's a question for the peanut gallery:

WTF good could tens of thousands of ppl do there surrounding parliment?

I know they don't have a plan, but let's imagine they were organized for a second... What COULD they do to help themsleves, assuming they aren't smart enough to know that ridding themselves of all forms of government would help...

Burning parliament down would be expensive, because they DO want someone to lead them and keep taxing them, they'll just have to rebuild it so they can't very well afford to burn it down, can they?

Holding leaders hostage with a list of demands? They don't likely want to face their entire military, i'd suspect...

Throw a Coup? Likely the same as with hostages, but if it were planned in advance with the military in cahoots, they'd probably succeed in throwing out the austerity lovers and then get a bunch of people in office that simply can't do a much better job because their debt is so large and situation so bad...

I don't see anything they can do that will help them without deciding as a group to discard socialism... Even if they make a minarchy smaller than the original US constitution called for though, it's still going to be very hard to see what they can do to better their situation much.

Anyone?
