Try running it in the Search network only (separate from a Content-only campaign) and analyze the different results. For the search campaign, try a few different ad copies that are targeted to specific groups of keywords.
For the content network, consider an image ad instead of text. You could even make the image look like text, but make it eye-catching. I am also pretty sure you can get away with brand names in the image ad.
If in doubt, find the merchant's logo containing the (TM) or (R) and blend it in nicely with your image.
Just my 2 cents.
Okay, can somebody tell me what is going on. I check my ads, for a certain keyword they say I'm averaging around 4 point something in results, which is true from when I checked the other day. But I checked again after activating the campaign and even though it says I should be on the fron page, my ad is on the 2nd page. I double my cost, thinking I'd get back to where I was and I'm still on the 2nd page, even though they say I'm averaging in the top 5.
WTF?!
Now I know I'm not going crazy there are less than 2 dozen advertisers bidding on this keyword and there ads are showing up multiple times before mine. That isn't supposed to happen is it?
