-Meditating for 20 minutes before a work session will increase your productivity greatly. You'll be less impulsive and more focused.
-When you have a problem that you can't seem to solve, go for a walk. It'll give you some altitude and a new perspective on the problem.
-Having a good reason WHY you want to do something makes the HOW part a lot easier.
-Quality time spent on a project is always better than Quantity time spent on a project. 1 hour of intense focus will always outperform 4 hours of so-so work.

Avoid wickedfire?

Agreed.

Don't waste time reading solutions to problems on forums until you are actually confronted with that problem.

With writing, I've found it much easier to get started at the beginning of a work session if I stopped in the middle of something I was writing. I think this just makes it easier to pick up and go than compared to if I have to start something new.

If I'm doing something I dread I am more productive when I use a timer. I decide how much time I'm going to dedicate to a task, such as 15, 30 min etc, and start the timer and jump in. This helps me to avoid procrastination, and because I know I am racing against the timer, it makes me focused and do the task faster.

The thing that works me is NO multitasking. I concentrate on one job, get it done and then move on to the next one and write everything down on a piece of paper. I know its old school but it works for me.

Get a 2nd monitor

Have a goal. Ex. My goal is to make enough monies online to get a professional head shot taken so I can change it to my avatar like McGrunin.
