I have a buddy of mine that just came back from spending a couple weeks in the Amazon jungle, where he tried this mystical (read psychedelic) drink called Ayahuasca. (it's a mixture of several medicinal plants that supposedly helps you to detox physically and mentally). He said it gave him a new outlook on life and he experienced total oneness with nature while on it. He said he wants to return and do it again because he chickened out on the dosage and only took the minimal dose...

Apparently this thing is growing in popularity, even among celebrities...

There's tons of videos on YouTube where people talk about their experience with this thing. There was even one from a senior manager at LinkedIn that I cannot find for some reason...

I know a lot of you here are living in South America... who has tried it and/or knows someone that did?

is it salvia the same shit?

if yes I have tried it...

other worlds were visited...and light entities met.

Ayahuasca is oral DMT + other alkaloids, with a much longer experience than smoked DMT. It's magic.

Salvia is a diff plant. The other worlds, entities stuff is the same.

I barely have enough time to jerk off on Wickedfire for a 10 min a day, how the fuck do you guys have time to do drugs?

That shit's counter productive.

I see a rebill coming.

Nahh this is some serious shit that you have to take in presence of an experienced shaman (Ayahuasquero) who knows what dosage to give you and monitors your behavior after it. Pretty much everyone that does it has an OOB experience.

In the Joe Rogan video I posted in the OP (it's 2 hours long but definitely worth listening to) the guy says that it made him face his worst fears.

Definitely not an easily marketable product :tongue2:

I don't really do drugs, occasional weed smoking but that's it. The thing with Ayahuasca is that it's not really a drug, in the sense that you can't just buy it and do it at home for fun. You have to travel to South America (any country that borders the Amazon has it) and do it in a supervised setting, and it's something you do once a year at most, supposedly to cleanse your body and mind...

I've tried salvia and it's fucking creepy!

A friend of mine mentioned this ayohausca thingy, we're getting some next month when he goes to the US and brings some back.
Not really sold anywhere here in India.

Ayahasca = DMT. One plant that has a lot of DMT (not orally active. Broken down in the stomach), the other part is a plant that inhibits the enzymes that break down DMT, making it orally active.

Pretty crazy stuff, there is a good documentary on DMT on netflix

DMT will suck your soul!

Also worth noting that while a smoking-induced DMT trip only lasts 10-15 minutes (hence it's nickname, "the businessman's trip"), taking an MAOI inhibitor with DMT (which is what Ayahasca is) makes the trip last far longer, 10 hours+

DMT /= Salvia and Ayahasca /= Smoked DMT. Do your research and be safe pyschonauts.

If you do any psychedelics, I highly recommend that you read Psychedelic Guide by Timothy Leary and Richard Alpert based on Tibetan Book of the Dead. The highest experience you can on any psychedelics is to understand your true nature. To get a temporary spiritual enlightenment.

The experience is very similar to actual death experience, ego death, that is why Book of the Dead is very useful!

If you do it might as well go for GOLD!

I tried it last year at a Shaman's private resort in the middle of Colombia. My friends live in Bogota and knew the shaman very well. You definitely need an experienced guide and a natural setting. Ayahuasca can take you to some very dark and scary places and can involve a lot of suffering. I personally found my first time very enjoyable and enlightening. I came away with an enhanced universal respect for everything and had some mind blowing revelations. Most people do this for some type of medicinal reason - to heal/detoxify, to help get over something (addiction/depression) or to make some deep discoveries.

On the same retreat, I witnessed a Colombian making love to a huge tree - not sure what world he was in, but loss of ego is one of the effects.

Definitely don't try to order this off a website to try at home or do some tourist version.

PM me if you want to know more.

Ayahuasca is an excuse for white people to goto South America and do drugs.
