Niggas call themselves nigger all the time. You know they'll stuff like 'Nigger, lemme axe you sumtin' which is a really cool way to speak, so really it's just a way to try and connect to the rich and colorful urban lingo, for boring white people like us.

Not sure I'd agree with "Zipperhead" being a non-offensive word. Almost definitely my most hated word in the English language.
words alone can't be offensive. only the context in which they're used can dictate their meaning, it's why we don't give a shit when blacks say niggers.
"but, the N word derived its meaning from racist assholes!", yeah? I'm not racist and I have the ability to say Nigger. It'd be a ridiculous argument to make that simply speaking a word can make a person racist. Words don't dictate their meaning, the user does.
But of course I'm not going to go out into public and use these words, just in the same way I'm not going to avoid paying taxes. There are certain repercussions that exist, which are worth avoiding, due to ridiculous belief systems.
The same thing applies to any "offensive" word. Some of my family members won't swear because "swearing is bad". They'll say, "What the fluff". My wife n' I just look at each other like what the fuck...
