I've always thought it was incredible what NASA pulled off with the tech they had. They got man to the moon with less computing power than some of the smart phones around today. That's straight bad as hell.

Most of the computers utilized during the Apollo program were sliderules.

Even the most basic cellphone today has more computing power than all the computers in the world combined back then.

It's amazing that they made it back. Jim Lovell even went on to become an actor, lending his voice to Toy Story (and the inspiration behind Buzz Lightyear).
