Firearms thread - enthusiasts only please

Holy Shit! Look at them prices! Rifles, Shotguns and Handguns for Sale - Buy Handguns, Rifles, and Shotguns Online at GunBroker.com

Anybody wanna buy my AR? I'll happily part with it for $5000 (case, 5 Pmags, Aimpoint optics, 400 Rds of amma etc.) plus shipping to your FFL (no california though)
:D

/edit/ fuck that. just did some searching and it's almost impossible to find parts or rifles right now. They're all sold out.

There is a fuckton of hoarding going on right now. Guys making a killing selling them lowers. Its hard to predict the future on the law changes, but they take some time. In a month or 2 (if we have that long) guys that spent 5 to 10000 or more are going to start getting itchy to unload this stuff.

If you don't have anything prob be a good idea to pickup a $300 lower. I am fairly certain there will be a market correction in the very near future. That or deals to be had.

Personally I do not see a ban. The NRA is putting serious pressure on major politicians that are in areas with traditionally slim margins. In the mean time I am banking hard. Would love to have a gun store some day.

Do it now. Glad to hear its working out for you.

I can hardly wait for the posts by guys that maxed out all their credit buying shit for a 500% markup to flip. Everyday that passes these shootings slip further from the minds of people. Right now get the cash but be ready to turn on a dime in a moments notice.

This thread reminds me, I need to get a membership to my local shooting club. It'll be 6 months before I'm allowed to get a license, but after that, it'll be legal for me to own rifles.

At $1000 a gun it doesn't take too many to hit a million. Add in ammo at $300 a case (100 cases per pallet) and it becomes even more simple.

Simply if the average sale was $1k / gun + $300 ammo into $1m = 769 transactions / one 10 hour day = 1.28 sales every minute. Years ago there was maybe 5 people working in that little space with one register. Bet the average sale was several k and most of it back ordered.

The volume doesn't surprise me. In that area if you don't have at least 10 guns and keep your NASCAR membership current they will throw you out of the KKK.

Intrigued on the predictions of the near term market prices and the future self leveling after the rush. Speculation on the stripped lowers is also interesting. I'm getting that carpet bagger feel again.

1. open gunshop
2. lobby for gun ban
3. ???
4. profit

This is rush #3 this year, each one has been worse than the last.

#1 was when Obama was elected (And the weeks leading up to it).
#2 was black friday, the national background check system was down all day due to the volume of requests.
#3 started on the 15th and hasn't let up yet.

In another thread we were discussing survival preparedness. A rifle that is often recommended is a simple .22 caliber. They are inexpensive, and can be used to kill small animals if you needed to.

They can also kill adult humans as well. The ammo is cheap and well, they are just fun guns to shoot.

So I've literally got tens of thousands of rounds in ammo, and im not referring to just 22 (you do the math financially). You think I'm gonna go barter X amount of bullets for something to feed my family/child/etc? Fuck no.... I'm buying these and stockpiling for other purposes. Same rule applies with antibiotics, etc. If I need it bad enough, I'm gonna git it...

Just lease remember that antibiotics don't have a very long shelf life. If stocking up on antibiotics I would reccommed Levoquin and Amoxicillin. They work very well with less chance of an alergic reaction.

Anyone been to a gun store lately? Wanted to pick up an AR before the black messiah won't let me, only to find all the stores in my area completely sold out. I'm curious if the industry will be able to fill some of the demand before the laws change.

Go to Guns for Sale - Online Gun Auction - Buy Guns at GunBroker.com They have quite a few nice ones for sale there. I just bought one last week. Only thing is you need to go to a dealer/pawnshop and have them fax their FFL to the seller. Most pawnshops charge a 25.00 dollar transaction fee to transfer the weapon to you. Fairly painless transaction all in all. Only problem is you might find something at the pawn shop you want as well. I know I did but we couldn't agree on price. DAMNIT!!

Just be prepared to pay 2 - 4 times the MSRP. The "base models" seem to be going for the highest multiples.
