This is 100% true and a good point. And it will remain this way until a very large group of people revolt.. which may never happen because they keep us so entertained and comfortable.
But if they take guns then it will make it that much harder to fight off the gov if the time ever comes where there actually are enough people to do it.
Also, don't agree with your gun comparison pics though.
Piers is an idiot and a condescending dick head. He doesn't have any right attacking our Bill of Rights. He's a British citizen who's exploiting his position at CNN to manipulate the American people into thinking we'll be safer with more gun control.
The guy doesn't even know what he's talking about. His main argument is that the British have strict gun laws and only had 30 something murders from firearms last year. So if it works there it should work here right?
Wrong. If you don't have any guns (like Britain) of course there's not going to be anybody murdered with them. Americans on the other hand have nearly 400,000,000 guns. Gun control is only going to take the guns out of the hands of law-abiding citizens. If you start passing more gun control laws in America, more people are going to die from them.
Sure, the U.K. had a lot less murders with firearms but they also have almost double the rate of violent crime that the U.S. has. I wonder why? Maybe because their citizens have no means to properly defend themselves.
Our right to bear arms is one of the founding principles of our country. If we didn't have this right, America likely wouldn't even be a nation right now.
Americans aren't little bitches either. Jones is right, if they keep fucking with us there will be another revolution. That's how we roll. We should not forget that the spark which ignited the American Revolution was caused by the British attempt to confiscate the firearms of the colonists.

Lets not get into this debate again, because we've already proven that's not true. The violent crime stats for both countries are very similar, when measured using similar surveys.

When comparing stats from country to country you have to compare stats that are identically measured.

Gun's are not the problem, People who are crazy carrying the gun's are the problem. They all have mental issues and heavy on meds or drugs.

This is a classic case of why I've often said AJ is controlled opposition. He obviously believes these things he gets so loud about, probably 90% of them, if not more... The problem is that he was never that grounded in reality and his enemies like Piers here used that against him.
When AJ broke out into a totally unprovoked shout just a few sentences in, it turned off all of peirs' civilized viewership. They already saw him as a madman from that point alone... Then even if AJ had won over a few hearts with his content, at the point he broke into that sad british accent he lost the rest of the viewers because he was being an unserious clown.
Morgan obviously knew that AJ would do something like this and that's exactly why he was invited on the show; to show the civilized world that even a popular gun advocate is a raving lunatic who can't be serious nor civil.

Maybe, but it's not like people such as him don't exist and couldn't gain a following. The Democratic party loves it when Rush Limbaugh says things that are offensive to the general public, and it's technically possible that he is on their secret payroll, but again it's not like there aren't real life Rush Limbaughs.
Or he could care less what the people think and just realizes that controversy can equal dollar signs.

Well, that was entertaining. Piers was visibly upset especially at the end there. I'm really not sure this is what he was actually hoping would happen as some of you say. And I really don't think that people would turn away just because Alex looks like a lunatic. Some people need a shock in order to start thinking for themselves and I think he delivered that.
