Dayum. CNN made a whole story just for the singular point of trashing AJ. This is a new low for them, if that's possible.

The MSM has far surpassed my expectations on how much anti-gun propaganda they can milk out of that little 'debate.' If there is one event AJ should be ashamed of, this was it.

Hopefully he'll learn his lesson and be more reserved in the future. If not, I'll expect him to be a controlled opposition mouthpiece forever more and really grow to hate him. :angryfire:

He had a once in a lifetime opportunity to get on a national stage and possibly influence the very people that Obama is targeting and appealing to. Not even 10 seconds in he is screaming like a crazed psycho.

The man is a walking encyclopedia and he could have easily gone into that interview and won. Instead he did exactly what they wanted him to do. This 1 single interview did more damage to the credibility of gun owners and makes us all look crazy

Ya I'm actually surprised that people like Ron Paul have not distanced themselves from AJ after that. RP was on his show yesterday and I haven't heard it yet but it sounds like he agreed that if they take the 2nd away a revolution may start. Hope so, news has been boring lately.

Also, it wasn't just CNN trashing AJ yesterday. It was a top yahoo news article too which is basically AP. I'm guessing it was all over basically.

As far as Jones is concerned, he could have acted crazy cause that's the role he gave himself for sales, or maybe he's controlled opposition, or maybe he's true opposition trying to make gun owners look nuts, or maybe he's just one of those people who get loud and weirdly aggressive to compensate for being nervous.

Well I watched that interview and I can tell you he was certainly not nervous. That was pure rage. He is normally a load mouth. Its the same reason he has millions of people listen to him. Trouble is he has no self control. The guys is smart as fuck, yet a total dumbass. All he had to do was stay calm and he would have been in complete control
 
Alex Jones is a rambling idiot, but if you fact check that debate he's mostly on about it. He should have given Piers a better chance to respond, but again this was all just a hollywood production like all mass media.

And I think he has the ability to stay in control. This was his premeditated plan. He really believed this was be the best way to handle himself on this show. According to him, he handled this exactly as he should have handled it.

My big question is historically has there ever been a Bill of Right constitutional amendment that they've officially repealed? I haven't researched it or anything but if they take away the 2nd, why not just attack the whole fucking thing eventually? Why not the first? WTF is the bill of rights for if not to be followed?

The only Amendment ever repealed was the one on alcohol prohibition, but that wasn't part of the Bill of Rights.

It doesn't matter though, they don't need to repeal the amendments when they just violate them at will. "Rights" are an illusion, they are actually just privileges that the government allows us to have, until they decide for whatever reason to take them from us.

There is nothing that the government can not take from you, including your life.

Rights are an illusion but so are all human concepts that only exist in the mind. Rights are just formal or informal agreements between government and the people. Of course gov can take away anything from you but we can also take shit away from them if needed. It's all about who has the most intelligence and resolve in the end.

Anyway, they likely won't repeal the amendment.. they'll just shoot a ton of holes in it until it's basically worthless anyway.

How does he address him 'almost by name'? That speech applies to pretty much any major controversial issue. Pick one. Then see if it applies. There will almost always be 'pundants' (listen closely) and politicians disagreeing with a matter, especially a change of law, and the ones involving a controversial change of law will always contain a few people saying it's a breach of their rights in some way. Some with more people than others, but yeah.
 
I am not suggesting that he is the only one responsible. Its hard to argue that he did not have any impact. I am sure the Sheriffs and Governors that have been publicly saying they wont allow or enforce a federal confiscation or dismantling of the 2nd amend, had something to do with it.

I guess what I am getting at is that loud mouth interview was seen and heard. Many people thought he was a cook. But it got huge national attention. It was the biggest story in the country for 2 days. I just dont see how anyone can say he did not have an impact

I think Alex Jones had an impact - a negative one. He became the poster child for the so-called "gun nuts" that the liberal media likes to point to. He made it easy for anyone that is against gun control to be called crazy.

I have no doubt the anti gun people were able to use this against him. But let me ask this one question. Name 1 other person the president could have been addressing in that clip? And why would he even bring it up?
