I would feel incredibly bad for aliens exposed to Americans. Panic? Nah. Most Americans still believe that Ben Franklin was a US President and that "you're" is spelled as "your".
....and you think aliens will make them panic? Give me a break. Corps and the media will bumrush the fuck out of commercializing the lil green and gray fuckers into oblivion. If not this route, then everyone else will either run and hide, or try to shoot the lil fuckers. That's how we roll. We're Americans. Fuck yeah.

'Aliens' have learned how to travel nonphysically and shift modes between the physical and nonphysical : their vehicles are not only of the corporeal order, they are both corporeal and subtle.

Due to the mind-bogglingly obscene distances involved with interstellar travel, and the fact that aliens haven't left behind any smoking-gun artifacts in all of our history that we could find, I, for one, will only believe that aliens have visited us as soon as THE ALIENS tell me so.

For once we're in total 100% agreement. I very much doubt that interstellar travel that is faster than the speed of light is possible without breaking the laws of physics. Plus even traveling near the speed of light presents a shit load of engineering problems.
