Wickedfire Controversy 101

  1. If there is a problem, explain what happened and promise to quickly address it. Then actually address it. Post an update when it's done if it hasn't been too long. Don't bump the thread if it's dead.
  2. If the person is lying, ask permission to post whatever may prove they are lying. If they say no, people will get it. If they say yes, you win.
  3. DO NOT GET DRAGGED INTO THREADS - Make a single well thought out reply that has decent grammar, gets to the point, and covers all your bases. Then leave the thread.
  4. If you don't make an ass of yourself, the thread will disappear to the bottom. Once you make people care, they will dig up every turd you've ever dropped and make your life shit.
  5. DO NOT FUCKING GET DRAGGED INTO THREADS

Seriously. This thread would have been a non-issue if you'd posted a single reply that sounded literate and addressed the issue.

It should have been "Sorry, we pay someone to write the e-mails. This was not appropriate. I'll talk to the person who wrote it and make sure it doesn't happen again. We love our affiliates, and this is not a way we think it's acceptable to address them." Boom. Done. End of thread. Even if you don't agree with it, it doesn't fucking matter. It's called damage control. You fix the problem to make others happy even if it doesn't seem like a big deal to you.

This is a shitstorm that was damn near custom made with your own hands at this point.
 


Not that I am trying to defend some CPA network, but I noticed a few things.

My thoughts:
Affiliates are lazy. They leave dead offers up, they don't fix landing pages, they get up at noon, they run offers in the most profitable way despite the terms. PS I did at least one of those today. You guess which one

This email was from last year. The OP is basically showing they are too lazy to read their email to catch this last year or too lazy to start this thread until now. Or some other reason? He owe you something?

He never actually said affs can't read. He said they don't. There is a difference. Like me with page 2 of this shite thread. I didn't really read it.

Ya his logos and content suck. So what. Who cares. He knows a shitty CPA network website won't rank without some major work.

Picking through his posts and websites really is pointless. There are duplicated content on all our sites. Is the CPA industry supposed to be above this?

Probably the most grating thing about bqpennell is that he passes on the blame to others and considers himself blameless.

Shitty English? Don't blame me. I normally don't write content. I don't want to pay $50 every time I make a new post.

Why doesn't bqpennell take some effort into reading and writing english instead? He just needs to do a bit of studying and he can probably pull it off. Why kind of message is bqpennel sending to his son when he's a complete dumb ass who can't read or write well?

Same goes with the trolling. He accused OP of bad judgment. Bqpennell is totally blind to the fact that ultimately he was the one who had bad judgment.

People like bqpennell is who the FTC tries to "protect" from themselves and it's infuriating because it ensures they learn nothing and are just stupid as fuck sheep instead.

One thing LukeP and I can definitely agree on is that this is in the government's best interest. People are bqpennell are easy to rule and manipulate.

I was attempting to thank grindstone about his smart advice about just walking away. Unfortunately, I did not take his advice and let my anger get the best of me. However, after sitting back and realizing who I'm dealing with, it's quite apparent that I was merely fueling the fire.

With that said, I will (seriously this time) leave this as my last post in here -- mainly out of respect for the advice that was given to me by a few people to just walk away and let bygones be bygones. As for the only reply this thread should of got or deserved from me -- well, here it is:

The e-mail the OP is referring too was a motivation global e-mail blast. We did not find them offensive but we did find them more along the lines of cutting loose and being more laid back with our affiliates. However, if this offended anyone (and it apparently did) I sincerely apologize.

At the end of the day, what I think is important and what I want to express is that I've been paying affiliates on time since November 2010. Regardless of a few site typos and the slight copy-paste on the FAQ, we take care of our affiliates. End of story. Enough said. This thread will no longer receive anymore attention from me.

If you need any more information about this or have any questions, comments or suggestions, please feel free to reach out to me on AIM or Skype. As far as me ranting and raving up in here, though, I assure you all that such juvenile behavior has officially come to an end.

I know exactly how my affiliates get traffic to offers. Again, partial reading FTL. As stated, I know the basics, but when it came to testing and creativity, I was seeking on those primary two points.

Now, about Wicked Fire's own rules (revised as of February 2007):

1.) Use your common sense.

None being used here, though.

2.) Don't post anything that you know will contain any excessive verbal abuse towards another member of the forum that he/she may find overly offensive or not funny. It's only a joke if both people involved take it as one.
