Bitcoins at $75

Lukep, isn't this what Kiopa_Matt was saying would happen? and if I remember correctly you said it would be impossible, something to do with selling shovels rather than digging golds?

Correctly if I'm wrong but wasn't Avalon just a hedge against BFL cornering the market? But now that Avalon has realized that BFL doesnt have their shit together they notice that they have done exactly what they sought to stop.

Ceasing production but making the chips available makes sense in the above scenario.

Sold out in 25 godamn minutes.

Fuck me.
What are you talking about?

It appears that they are ON SALE NOW.

I didn't say this situation would be impossible at all...

Not only are these rigs on sale right now, but this is just the first company, and they are planning to sell their chips to other companies to spread around the processing anyway. Clearly the opposite scenario of what you're thinking.

$78 highest today so far. $100 before the end of the week methinks

@ All:

Before I get teased about it; I chickened out on the $5,400 rig from Avalon... The numbers just don't line up, even if BTC goes past $100 soon. (I also have to pay for international shipping too.)

But the way I see it now is that there is a lot of risk associated with the mining rig, like when they'll deliver, will btc still be over $100 then, and especially how much the difficulty rating will go up by then. Meanwhile, I can invest that $5,400 at the low points of the graph right now, at my own pace, and not risk anything but the price of BTC falling someday. (I would be risking that either way.)

So more control and less risk to stay an investor. Oh well. Let's hope BFL is legit...

I have seen proof that lukep has been in Thailand recently.
You stalkin' me brah?

Don't be listening to those ladyboys... They LIE! ;)

$75.60 wo0t

Been trying to buy more @ CoinBase all day. their POS system :c
Yeah, we really have to get better points of entry into the system. There are tons of exchanges, but just a few places that will do what CoinBase and BitInstant do... Almost makes me want to become a banker.

Jon? ...Time's right to start your banking empire, bro!

There's a strong need and you're the Jew for the job!

100 by end of March.

$15 by the end of September.

I can't remember the words, but we've all heard the saying... you know it's a bubble when everyone's doing it, or if everyone's already doing it than it's too late, or some shit like that.

I bet if we look at BTC prices in a year from now, we'll see a nice bell curve.

Waiting on that upcoming post you're gonna make on your blog that''ll give us bitcoin noobs the current updated recommendations on how to start buying/investing in bitcoins as of today. (At least I think you made that promise. Could be wrong tho hehe :338: ).

What is in a mining rig's hardware that you can't get from New Egg? Seriously. There's a lot of smart people here that have built their own machines. What's so special about the hardware?

The software, I get, but confused on the hardware portion.

OpenGL plus a lot of Radeon's. :D (maybe not, that's why I'm asking)
