Wish I could find a clip from the movie Basic where they talk about "training accidents" for you.
They do a lot of training.
Sometimes you die during training. These guys are worth a lot of money and do a lot of prescreening prior to being accepted. I just can't buy into the idea that, with as stingy as the government has been with military spending, that they're offing their own assets that cost them millions to create in the first place, assets that still have a lot of ROI left in them.

Not saying this was anything other than a training accident. Its just very unusual to have so many seals die in such unusual ways. And so shortly after their most infamous missions. Either way no one will ever know the truth.
Right, but I just want to make sure it's put into perspective that training isn't always a cakewalk. If you look at training related fatalities versus combat related deaths, it might surprise you.
Just 2 weeks ago, 8 Marines and 2 Navy were killed / hurt in an artillery training accident. Most of them hadn't even deployed yet. No motive there, just another shit accident.
Edit: Seal Team 6 is a lot bigger than people realize, too. Not everyone in Seal Team 6 has met one another, for example. And not everyone on Seal Team 6 was involved in the operation.

I get what you're saying. I really do. I have the utmost respect for the men and women that "protect" our nation. And completely agree with what you're saying regarding the frequency of these 'training accidents'.
The only question I would ask is. How many SEALS died killing Osama? How many that were on that mission have died since? What are the odds that one SEAL team could have so much misfortune and freak accidents after that 1 critical mission?

I agree, the MM makes it seem freakishly common lately. And I don't disagreee with asking these kinds of questions, but I'd need more evidence to support a claim like this.

Agreed. The problem is the powers that be will never allow you access to that evidence. So the only thing we can do is call people who ask these questions conspiracy theorists. Meanwhile people will continue to die.
Maybe other like units experience just as much misfortune as seal team 6 yet they're simply not reported on because they don't resonate with people at all. The majority of people relate seal team 6 to killing obama, so it makes sense for the media to report on them.
