Going to miss this one...

Didn't think it was 'that' bad.... but this was the last episode for the main writer that is leaving.

While I didn't really enjoy the prison fight to much, it was interesting how things came full circle from the first episode this season. We don't accept strangers in our house - to this ending.

The Andrea/Milton scene was a bit to long for me.

Tyrese is FINALLY in the house... :)

Keep in mind though: They clearly detoured from the comic book series now and are 'free' to do whatever... Also, Gov was to big of a character to end up like in the comics.

Man I enjoyed watching my ads... They kept interrupting them with The Walking Dead!

Besides that, I did enjoy watching 20 minutes of Andrea squirming around and the most anti-climatic war battle ever.

I thought it was cool that Milton raises his right hand after he dies.

Seems like they cut some important scenes in that episode, so they could fit in all the commercials.

It's nice to see Carl come in to his own.

Fuck staying in the house.

But yeah, that Andrea/Milton thing could have been way better.

I guess I'm glad that I started watching it 30 minutes later on my DVR and skipped all the commercials. Was it really that bad?

The season finale was very disappointing. The battle was over before it started, the governor disappeared, and they took all the old people back to the beat-up prison instead of just taking over Woodbury. And Carl's now as fucking nuts as the governor.

+ they killed off the hot blonde, wtf

Oh well, time for GoT.

I've been disappointed for the most part since they returned from the mid-season break.

Rick goes full retard.

He lost his wife and dozens of others he was "responsible" for, don't you think that would drive a man to the brink of insanity. He was a small town cop less than a year ago now he's deciding who lives and dies...

They kick Tyreese and crew out (and give him zero screen time) but let Merle stay.

Tyreese just caught them at the wrong time. Merle is there because they need Daryl. Nothing more.

The last episode had a ton of holes in the plot. The Gov tracks down Andrea in a field. Tyreese lets her leave but then rats her out. The Gov survives a swarm of dozens of walkers only to catch Andrea right as she reaches the prison, Andrea doesn't think to steal the truck as she escapes, etc etc.

Maybe the keys to that truck were in the Governors pocket?

I thought the half-assed prison raid was as it should be. The Gov didn't have a lot of hard motherfuckers, and Merle took most of them out before he died. When they ran out of the prison, the Gov knew they wouldn't stand tall for round 2, so he shot them.

I thought it was pretty good, not what I was expecting.

I was thinking, mainly because of the episode title ("Welcome To The Tombs") that the prison battle would end up with Rick's camp booby trapping the place, or tricking the Gov's camp into getting locked up deep in the prison.

It looked like it was going to happen that way. Then they retreated. Then Glenn and Maggie can't hit a single person when firing ~200 shots into a crowd of ~50 people at close range. Were they just trying to scare them? I think if an armed militia was attacking in real life that people would be getting mowed down.

I really don't get the Gov killing his entire army. And no one fires back. And Martinez/Random black guy 25.0 just go along with it. I still think there's a good chance that Martinez will switch sides and become a bigger character.

I thought Andrea's death was done pretty well. From the time Milton dropped the pliers until you see the bite I was pretty sure that she was going to live. One thing about that, she shot herself with Rick's revolver. I'm pretty sure I heard a shell casing hit the floor. Maybe it was the gun, I didn't rewind to double check.

But if it was a shell casing that seems like too much of a climatic event to make a mistake like that (revolvers don't eject shells when fired). No idea what that could mean though.

There's no real big cliffhanger. Like the prison shot in season 2 or the Daryl/Merle battle of season 3.5.

I thought it could have been better. Would have been a great filler episode, but not so much for a finale.

Still looking forward to next season though.

Just announced at Comic Con

Smarter zombies coming to 'The Walking Dead'

SAN DIEGO (AP) — The zombies are adapting on "The Walking Dead."
The fourth season trailer debuted at Comic-Con showed off a breed of stronger, savvier undead — or "walkers," as they're called on the hit AMC zombie apocalypse series — encroaching on the survivors at their prison enclave.
"It's going to get insane very quickly," new show runner Scott Gimple said.
"The Walking Dead" producers were joined by such cast members as Andrew Lincoln, Danai Gurira and Norman Reedus.
In the footage shown at the pop-culture convention, the survivors' barricaded headquarters have been further fortified. However, increasingly more hordes are bombarding the gates, and they're not spreading out anymore.
"Yeah, the walkers are no threat at all this season," joked executive producer Gale Anne Hurd after panel moderator and "Talking Dead" host Chris Hardwick suggested the zombies were simply animals.
The clip also teased a catastrophic event inside the prison with multiple deaths. At the end of the trailer, Reedus' Daryl is shown driving a car and overhearing a voice on the radio whispering, "Those who arrive survive."
"The Walking Dead" creator Robert Kirkman said the villainous Governor played by David Morrissey will return in the fourth season but when, how and why will be a mystery that runs throughout the season.
"You've just gotta be on my side. If you're not on my side, you've gotta go," said Morrissey of his cutthroat character. "That's the deal with the Governor."
Several fans suggested to the panel what they'd like to see in the new season, including Rick and Michonne hooking up and Carl offing the Governor.
Side note about Comic Con: just went down there this afternoon with the wife and kids to people watch. some pretty cool stuff around there. Downtown San Diego is swarming with people this week. The Gaslamp Quarter is wall to wall people, with many dressed up.
