iPHone Price Drop

So yeah I bought the 8gig iPhone a few weeks ago at $699, and now as we all know they dropped it to $399. Kinda pissed about that, but at least it looks like I'll get $100 to the Apple store out of it that I can put towards an iMac.


Anybody else get semi-screwed?

We'll get past the service first. I'm not a fan at all of AT&T, I don't get service where I work most - my basement. So I'm constantly traveling upstairs when on any business call, which renders me unable to be at my computer while talking. The Edge network (what the internet uses when you're not on WiFi) sucks as well, internet loads slow as hell.


Now that we got that out of the way, I do enjoy the phone a lot. I like the interface (get a screen cover fosho), and like being able to go on the internet anywhere. I use the phone a lot to catch up on blog reading when I'm sitting at my girlfriends boring-as-hell swim meets. I can check stats/email anywhere if I'm out. I like that it's got the iPod built in, and the camera is pretty nice as well.

Definitely a solid phone, but would be 10x better if it were compatible with Verizon too.

I'm pissed about this rebate shit. It's only available to those who bought the iPhone AND activated it with AT&T. I live in an area that doesn't have ANY AT&T coverage anywhere in the state, so we can't even get the iPhone here. I mean...I can get it setup, but then AT&T will just cancel you after a few weeks for constantly roaming. So yeah. I've just been using it with wifi to develop iPhone apps, but I'm excluded from the rebate, and thats lame.

you may know the reason behind the price drop. someone else comes up with cheaper product at less than half iphones $699 price tag. and speaking of phones, got that htc for 2 months but I realized I never even use it, whole day I'm glued to the computer screen
