I'm so confused by the shock and emotional stress people display over fucking tv shows. My god good people you're watching a fictional story about fictional people in a fictional world that has fucking dragons! It's not real!

Don't get me wrong, I think it's damn good entertainment and I watch every week, but to be emotional distragut over a fucking tv show continues to demonstrate how far we have fallen as a society.

So you only watch "reality" TV or something?

Stories have been part of human culture, for just about forever. TV is just a different medium used to tell stories. I think the emotional stress just shows how well the story is told, and what our expectations are from other stories we've been heard or sold.

No, I don't watch reality tv and yes I agree Game of Thrones is a very good story, but for a "grown man" (as the above post cited) to be curled up in a ball for an hour and others were crying over fictional characters dying seems petty. Maybe I'm just too "high" when watching to get emotional over it.

I hear ya, but there are people who like riot over soccer, which is way more boring. So can't say I'm THAT surprised or anything.
 
Is this a show you have to start watching from season 1, or can you start at season 3?
 
watch from season 1.

it's not that you have to. it's that you'll want to. told a buddy about it 4 days ago, he went through 1.5 seasons in 2 days.
