Which one of you is this?

What's the major use for ice other than to put in your drink or having some in fridge to ice body parts with?

I'm confused about the demand.

Dude your understanding about supply and demand as well as market pricing is seriously flawed.

Well, if you've never gotten an icy blow job, you should give it a try.

Aside from that, it's what people used to use to keep food from spoiling, pre-refrigeration.

You're making the case FOR capitalism. Our current system is anything but capitalism.
 
Perhaps the store owner should charge a price based on your income level and then give you 1/10th of the ice you paid for regardless of whether you wanted ice. That would be just like gov't and fine by you, amirite?
 
I simply push my cup on the lever and an endless supply comes out of my fridge....people buying ice, interesting.....
 
Yeah, he'll probably get tarred and feathered after everything is said and done. He can exploit people for the next few weeks, but I hope they remember what he did and put him out of business. Econ 101 is theory and, in reality, you have to think of your long term relationship with customers. This person is a dick.
 
A lady on Kitchen Nitemares had a big pink flamingo on her entry way in Baltimore. The whole neighborhood hated her fucking guts because she copyrighted some phrase that originated in the city. She had to do an amazing amount of ass kissing to get them to give her a second chance.

Same thing will happen to this place.

Same thing is happening the the pos gas station that is charging $.85 for credit cards to buy gas by my brother in laws. There is never anyone there.
 
This store owner chose short term higher profit. This may or may not effect his long term profit. If he gets a lot of unique customers he should be fine. His regulars are the ones to worry about.

No, you don't need to be an asshole who tries to capitalize off people's misery during a time of emergency in order to make money.

Or if you guys want to look at it from purely business perspective, sure, we can do that too. He probably generally sells ice at say $2/bag, so is making an extra $18/bag. Most people aren't going to pay $20 for a bag of ice, so he's looking to profit what? A whole $1000 off this thing at the most? In the meantime, he's pissed off everyone who lives in the area, so his store will probably be dead once things return to normal.
