^ A cafe near me does this. Only thing is I think I may be able to sell monthly access to students/people who work nearby, which means I need something more robust, unfortunately.

I don't think many people would commit to wifi thats more expensive and slower than what they have at home. It's going to be a per purchase type system

Seems to be an interesting option, one with a more robust connection and aid others and in turn revive something of his original cost back.
There are options for this, have seen data companies exercise this at various locations but the method behind it is still unknown.
