I'm pretty serious about Zombie movies and was somewhat let down by World War Z this weekend. I feel like it was lacking gore, zombie death scenes, and other general zombie movie shit.

My daughter and I had this exact same conversation Saturday night. There's nothing sexy about zombies unless they're target practice.

It was more of a cerebral undead flick ... if there is such a thing. Worth seeing, but not even playing the same sport as things like the walking dead.

Yeah I totally agree.

My first thought was that Brad was trying to make the obscene amount of money he spent on the rights/production back by keeping it PG-13 to draw in a bigger pool of patrons.

Should have been R rated insanity like Killing Them Softly

i haven't seen the movie yet, so im not reading the thread...I started the book last night, and let me tell you i am thinking of taking the day off to keep reading it today.
Didn't want to put my kindle down, but fell asleep.
I can see from the trailers the movie is not the same....however i will see it also.

Book was much better than the movie. I have a feeling this was just the first movie in a set of many sequels.

My expectations were low and I had heard of a comparison to contagion rather than zombie movies so I actually liked it.

Definitely some flaws, but I was entertained. It definitely wasn't the norm for zombies. I've heard it was almost nothing like the book

frankly I totally agree Zombies are just waste and have no co relation or fun, except target practice.
World War Z was one example. Don't know what is wrong with the hollywood directors that they cannot see out of the block from aliens and zombies.
