Very cool. My son is only 8 months old and it's amazing to think of how functional the internet will be when he reaches my age

yea I used to run a dialup BBS, back when the internet was catching on around 1995/96.

I just checked out textfiles.com .. Just got to say WOW, I wish I was born in 1960 so I could experience those early internet/ bbs days in the 80s.

Your site should be considered hallow sacred ground.

Yeah, I remember them. My first intro to the net was '89 or '90. A friend of mine had a modem and would dial into a local chat room. I remember a bunch of us gathering around his computer in amazement that you could talk to people in other part of the CITY through a computer.

haha- I used to own at LORD . Yank the phone cord before you got text-stabbed. We used to have "FOCKE's List" which would index all BBS's in the area once a week- kept you current on where the best door games were.

Haha I remember BBS's.. 2 node systems running wildcat/powerbbs were l33t.. I remember I was the first to have a cd writer... god so much used to fit on one cd back then
