Anyone have a HomerunHD Prime 3 tuner setup?

I just got one for $100 and it's arriving later this week. I've got a few devices I'm looking to setup:

1. WiFi HDTV in my bedroom that is currently connected to a HDTV cable box ($10/mo rental)
2. HDTV in living room that has home entertainment setup (Roku 2 XS + Denon 1913 [ame=http://www.amazon.com/Denon-AVR-1913-Networking-Receiver-Capability/dp/B007R8U5R6/]Amazon.com: Denon AVR-1913 7.1 Channel 3D Pass Through and Networking Home Theater Receiver with AirPlay and Powered Zone-2 Capability (Old Version): Electronics[/ame]) and also connected to cable box
3. Office PC
4. Random tablets, phones, etc. around the house

Goals:
1. Watch live TV on my computer (no TV in the office)
2. Reduce cable equipment rental by $20/mo by getting rid of cable boxes in living room and bedroom
3. Utilize DVR type functionality to record shows on weekly basis
4. Still be able to somehow access Comcast video on demand

Anyone got any suggestions to make that all happen? Seems like it should be easy enough with the equipment I've got, right?

I've never used or installed this device in particular but it seems like you should be good to go with the streaming portion but the On-Demand stuff might not work. Most cablecards can't do anything that is interactive or 2-way (although some Tivo's allow it to work). Check with Comcast and they should be able to tell you exactly which devices their cablecards are compatible with.

I ordered one from Amazon and had to return it. I found out my HD channels were encrypted on Time Warner in my market. Not sure about Comcast.

Wouldn't Slingbox do most of the stuff that you are trying to do?

This device will only work for ClearQAM channels and I think that most cable companies have only broadcast channels (basic cable service) that are unencrypted. With slingbox you don't have to worry about encryption.

Yea that is true, the SlingBox with a cable box would work, but the HDhomerun should work as well. You can get Free HD broadcast and the ClearQAM channels on the HDHomerun, but with the use of the cablecard, you also have the ability to watch all of the channels that you are paying-for through your cable company. Besides on-demand and other 2-way services like ordering payperview from your box (in most cable systems you would have to call in for that)
