It see this page is set up by Gilardi and Co LLC. They are lawyers, not Marketers
I assume they want as many as people as possible to sign up for the class action lawsuit, because it means more $$$ for them.

Is there a lead gen opportunity in this? I am sure this is probably a heavily regulated area, but there must be a way for a marketer to wedge their way in there and get some money out of this, right? Somebody must be doing their marketing for them...

Something like setting up a page similar to the page linked above, then getting a commish per signup once the payouts are made?

"How would I even go about researching the regulations around activity like this?" <- I don't think there is a book or resource out there called, "Lead gen for legal firms"

"Has anyone done this, found out it is a shit business, and would recommend against it?"

People have posted about it before. From what I remember it is illegal to "sell" leads to lawyers and doctors. Could be wrong though. If you really want to find out then time for you to start digging.
