Vertical jump training

6'0" 210 lbs and I can still kinda sorta dunk at 38 years old. They ain't nearly as pretty as they used to be but I like to pull it out every once in awhile especially with a bunch of young Lebronabee's on the court. Been able to dunk since I was 15 so I have no idea how one would train to increase their vert, but I used to ride a bike everywhere when I was a kid so I'm guessing that helps. Maybe fuck a few fat girls too.

I'm with you there but it's been about a decade and 20 lbs since I've done it in a game.

props to short dudes that can pull down

You just need to Jump more.

And do some squats, Stiff leg deadlift with some Power cleans for transferring those strength gains into Power that you can use in your Jump. And then keep jumping.

Lots of videos on Youtube, but body weight only may not be enough to strengthen your legs.. Or at least it won't be as easy.

It is not impossible. I mean you would need to rely on Pistol Squats and GHR for legs and hams without an Olympic Bar

Disregard everything in this thread except my post.

If you want to jump higher, you need to do explosive lifts for LOW reps. Look into Olympic lifting. If you don't want to bother with your own research, then get Jump Manual. I know it's a CB product, but it's the most effective program out there. It utilizes Olympic lifts and the creator of the program has proven the effectiveness.

This is his own video:

Vertical bible and AirAlert and all the other crap out there is bullshit. Trust me...

My friend did one of those programs in highschool to jump higher. He could never dunk but he was able to go from only being able to touch the bottom of the net to rim in only about 6 months.
