So, it appears to me that after reading soooo many Great posts on here, I realized that I have no clue how to make money on the internet...I still don't know how I managed to pull in around 8K/month this past winter...I guess Myspace had something to do with it...

Anyways, I have read all the stuff that newbie usually read....and I must say...that I'm still confused as hell and for some reason after absorbing so much info on here, I actaully feel retarded...If i managed to make 8k by just adding friends and posting bulletins on myspace...I cant even imagine what kind of potential there is out there!!!

My problem is...I still have no clue where to start...I'm completely clueless...I mean, I read the PPC Campaign and many other newbie links that are on here...but I still dont know what my starting point should be

I'm not that good of a web designer, I never promoted anything besides webcams on Myspace, and I have $100 in my bank... I'm fucking clueless at what to do next....PLEASE HELP!! I know this must be one of those posts, where people go "wow...what a retard" but once I grasp the basics of things like PPC, Google, SEO, (pretty much Affiliate Marketing)...I know things will take off from there on their own..Appreciate Any help...THANKS
 


what makes you think you will understand people's answers better than the posts that are already available on this forum?
 
Look at all the stuff here and try to apply it to your myspace spamming.

Start messing with PPC. I started with Zip submits, because they convert pretty nicely and its as simple as you can get when it comes to leads.

I feel for you hon. You are probably just a little overwhelmed. This place does encourage Internet ADD. You've just got to FOCUS. Or find some adderall. Just find one thing that is working for you (sounds like you've got your foot in the door with myspace stuff) and expand on that. Don't try to do it all. Take baby steps. I'll share something that will probably get me flamed but since I have a soft spot in my heart for retards, here we go. I was scared of wordpress. I was doing other stuff and blogging wasn't my thing but I knew I couldn't avoid it forever and plus I'm kind of the "rip the bandaid" off kind of girl anyway (although ripping it off someone else seems far more appealling muahhhhahah). So I sat down and said "today I'm going to get wordpress on one of my domains" so I did. I looked around wf for wordpress stuff, looked at a few youtube tutorials and then I got on the live chat with hostgator, told them what I was trying to do and they walked me through some stuff and VOILA it was pretty fucking simple (especially with fantastico) . Now i have a blog. It's ugly, I don't know what I'm doing yet, and I haven't even got the page loading right but whatever, that's what I will be talking about with the hostgator people today. (I'm sure I'm on their n00blist somewhere)

I guess you took the first step by admitting theres a problem (you're retarded) and now just do something, anything to power through.
 
First rule - do what works. If the myspace thing is working for you, then continue doing that. Once you get that perfected, gradually diversify into other areas of affiliate marketing and take it from there.
 
My question is when did the $8k a month stop, and why did you wait so long to do something about it? Now you only have $100? Maybe you spent all your money on drugs and the good news is, your not a tard! :)

When I first read this post, I was thinking your were bragging about the $8k a month and now your going to try to sell us an ebook...
 
thnx for the info i'll try to put it to good use...yeah the 8k/month went on a DUI, a brand new car cuz i wrecked mine, new bike and bunch of pot...what can I say...i def. fucked up with handling my money...i didnt wait...i still keep making money but not anywhere close to 8k if I'm lucky i'll pull in 1.5-2k/month...which isnt enough for me to get by since I dont work..quit my day job a year ago

Stop reading. You're in information overload. Pick one method. Find a post like SEODave's post in the affiliate marketing section (or some other post) and just do it. Keep at it until you figure it out, then improve it by applying other stuff you've read.
 
Well, what most of us do here is much different then MySpace marketing. Lets be honest, spamming myspace is easy money. You should probably do it a little longer, build up a nice bankroll, and move on to better things. MySpace has filed lawsuits ( I wouldn't be too worried, but don't rely on MySpace. It can only take you so far for so long). I'd try out PPC advertising and doing some whitehat sites to build some experience and bring out some ideas.
 
You need to re-sharpen your myspace stuff. You obviously know something about that.
Take a bit off your profits (live frugal if your need) and start going into other directions.
Learn a bit of PHP and go read the two "how to build your SEO empire" over at

Then print it out and sleep with it under your pillow.

Read it again. Three times.

Make sweet love to it. Printout or screen, your choice, I don't care.

Do everything that is written down there while experimenting on the side with other stuff. Expand what works, can what doesn't.
