Accidentally take out an entire wedding party. I don't know how the decision makers for these strikes could sleep another night in their lives.

You need real quality professional people doing the job. But just look at the top guy and the people that put him there.

I like Americans a lot (those I've met). It's just that your political class utterly sucks balls.

I am very conservative and look at what is going on with the democrat politicians and their liberal supporters and am thoroughly disgusted, then I look at the republicans and the disgust sets in again.

I love how they claim it was a "mistake." Like as if our weapons being in their country
to begin with is justified. This is like a burglar breaking into your home and then saying
he shot you by mistake when he dropped his gun.

Best part is upper right hand corner "High Profile targets = 1.5%".

Now to be fair, this is just Pakistan. Obama has killed far more people than this when you factor in Yemen and we don't even need to talk about Afghanistan, Iraq, Libya etc.

15 civilians died by US accident, no one gives a shit.

A girl bumps a dude over the canyon, killing that idiot, MASS MEDIA ATTENTION.

"Son, we live in a world that has walls, and those walls have to be guarded by men with guns. Who's gonna do it? You? You, Lt. Weinburg? I have a greater responsibility than you could possibly fathom. You weep for Santiago, and you curse the Marines. You have that luxury. You have the luxury of not knowing what I know. That Santiago's death, while tragic, probably saved lives. And my existence, while grotesque and incomprehensible to you, saves lives. You don't want the truth because deep down in places you don't talk about at parties, you want me on that wall, you need me on that wall. We use words like honor, code, loyalty. We use these words as the backbone of a life spent defending something. You use them as a punchline. I have neither the time nor the inclination to explain myself to a man who rises and sleeps under the blanket of the very freedom that I provide, and then questions the manner in which I provide it. I would rather you just said thank you, and went on your way, Otherwise, I suggest you pick up a weapon, and stand a post. Either way, I don't give a damn what you think you are entitled to." - A Few Good Men

...because drone striking what is largely innocent brown people makes us safer! and couldn't possibly result in blowback like 9/11!

...because offensive military operations in multiple countries is equivalent to guarding walls!

also, well played if troll.

It is easy to point the finger at Obama (or any politician) when his actions/orders result in the deaths of innocents. But consider this short chain of reason:

The state assumes that it has the authority and right to use violence against others.

The state is nothing more than a group of men and women. Many of these individuals are elected and many are appointed by those elected.

These men and women are given an air of legitimacy by those who participate in electoral voting. Were it not for voters' participation, their actions/orders would have no more legitimacy than the actions/orders of a common mass murderer or serial killer.

Given the above, if the actions/orders of members of the state result in the deaths of innocents, isn't there blood on the voters' hands? Are not those who participate in electoral voting - the very people who legitimize this facade called the state - also responsible for the innocents' deaths?

Why should voters be excused from the chain of responsibility?
