Why Thai Women marry Foreign Men

Don't speak for my race asshat.

Black men in different parts of the world have VASTLY different tastes. I don't know anyone into porking hogs.

Come and get it!

Fascinating thread, as an expat I can relate to "if you want to eat like at home you are going to pay more" I spend around $250 USD a week on groceries here buying organic and things from home. There are plenty of families here that do just fine paying ALL their bills on $100 USD a week total so the difference is pretty big. Seems like no matter where you are living like the locals is always going to be cheaper but god forgive me it gets old really fast lol

Why scary?

It's kind of hard to imagine and although I haven't been to those two places, I have been to some dangerous areas.

There's one that goes like this:

You move to country x, you're an internet baller (sweet!) so you open a bank account and have your monies paid in there so that you don't pay tax back at home. Except the bank staff get paid off to give away the details of the top ballers (you) to the mafia/cartel/crims. Good luck when they come and suggest you make a donation to their finger protection fund and you don't like the idea.

But then there are loads of smaller ones, which do get you down after a while.

In my personal experience:

Taxi kidnappings - you get in a 'taxi' (good luck telling the difference), they drive you to a backroad and 2 guys get in with guns. Express kidnapping at an ATM. Happened to an acquaintance of mine last month (and he was a local man).

Shopping center and bank shootouts. Surprisingly regular you just don't realize it till you actually live in the place.

A friend of mine had this happen, he was kinda silly though: Girls who take you to a club with a group of friends. You have a few drinks. Oh wait - you want to leave now? The bill's $2,500. Or a punch to the face. This happened in Eastern Europe, the rest in SA.

To be honest, it's only since I've lived abroad that I've realized how amazingly safe my country is. And how fucking crazy these places are. Even in the richest areas (which is where I stay, what the fuck I'm an internet baller amirite?) the water gets cut off, you get fucked up on some weird food and then when you wake up in the middle of the night with a fever stumbling to the tap you're like, oh shit, that's right, the water from the tap has SALMONELLA

hahaha, I'm not this jaded in real life, really

Thailand sounds wild. Sounds like it would be fun to visit but a dump to live in

Depends where in Thailand you live. For example, come visit me, and you'd hardly call this place a dump. Boring as fuck, but the furthest thing from a dump.

It's quite weird, because it's all government workers here (higher-up cops, city councilors etc.). So minimum wage is like $250/month, but here everyone has a nice house, couple vehicles and motorbikes worth $100k+ in the driveway, etc. No... there's no corruption in Thailand. Government officials never take bribes. :)

I'm glad I spent half my youth growing up in a 3rd world country.

I have a very keen sense of what kind of food/drink to avoid in a third world country, as well as the importance of avoiding mosquito bites in areas with malaria(which I've had before).

I would never touch tap water in a third world country. That's a surefire way to get a tropical disease.

Last year I was in a bar, and apperantly the ice was not from filtered water. Lets just say I lost like 6 KGs in 4 days and felt like shit for another 10. But since that happened I feel like my immune system was boosted, I haven't gotten sick once since then!

Aight so the trick is, when you meet a bird in Thailand, you ask her if she has a penis.

If she says yes - then you know where you stand.

If she says no, then you ask her to prove it. 90% of the time they will get their growlers out for inspection. If said fanny (pussy) is dry as a nun, then they had a chop job. Stay clear.
Vital knowledge.

Neither would I touch tap water in these places.

If you're new to a place it doesn't matter how careful you are, if you spend a month or two there you will get something. Eventually you can get used to the local bacteria etc though and not get sick so easily. My first 3 months in central america was like that, but the next year and a half was mostly ok. Until I almost died in Costa Rica.

Depends if you think the place is worth it or not as to whether you stick out the digestive learning curve. Next time you're grimacing over the toilet you might not feel so chirpy about it.

Funny thing is, there are places I've been where the locals still get sick. And you know what, yea I had fun in central america but no, I don't want to have to keep worrying about where my fucking ice came from. I admit it, I'm a first world baby.

+REP. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

Actually its a myth in asia that "White men" are rich but its actually the opposite more asians have become millionaires in the last 5 years than westerners. Mericans have become poor.

its all about money afterall. Filipinos are another typical example, the girls will do anything to get their hands on a brit or american. In Singapore, I have actually seen brits marrying their maids for fuck sake.

If you are a noob this is true.

Real life is quite different. :love-smiley-013:

I am a native Russian and I LOL at these ignorant fools that think they will just move to Eastern Europe and have no issues.

what country is this though?

Interested in EE, but I've heard certain countries in that area are xenophobic against dark skinned people.

Any truth to that?

Most of us are tolerant when it comes to that but there's always going to be that one fuck who is not.

Wouldn't recommend anyone who's not white to live here yet. It's not extremely bad, still risky though.

I am a native Russian

doesn't make you right still. maybe that goes for russia where the government tries their hardest to keep immigrants the fuck out, and they even banned "gay propaganda" for god's sake which says a lot about their open mindness. that's not the case with the rest of eastern europe.

say guy x moves from america/canada to a eastern european country and does the following:

1. learns/becomes fluent in the language.
2. makes local friends and doesn't stick around expat circles all the time.
3. tries to accept the culture.
4. pays his taxes.
5. doesn't go out flossing like a moron in front of impoverished locals.

what are those problems you speak of? the way i see it, the only way someone couldn't fit in anywhere outside of russia is if he's acting like a complete fucking unaware idiot.

Yeah, Russia tries to keep the immigrants out:
