Changing the business name / "Payment To" field shown on a customer's paypal receipt.
I have a new ebay company I just started that I do not want associated with my actual LLC name. This LLC name has been linked to my paypal account that I would like to continue using.
When my customer goes to look at their paypal/ebay payment details and receipt, I don't want them to see my real LLC name. They need to see a name that matches my ebay user ID.
So I logged into paypal and went to Profile > My Business info and then clicked the "change" link at the very top for the "Name" section.
There are 2 options, Business Name Change (change contact name) and Business Name Change (business name).
Almost positive I just want the latter, but I'm worried about this change because on this paypal-community page, the mod said "If you linked a bank account before you change your business name, you should remove the bank account and add it again to ensure the names on your PayPal account and bank account are the same."
I'm hoping this mod is incorrect, because if you really do need to make sure the new paypal business name matches your bank account business name then that would mean you have to file a legitimate business name change with your bank and state and I don't want to do that.
I simply just need a different name shown when my customer goes to look at the Paypal details for the items they just purchased.
Figured some of you might know since it seems like most here do business with or have done business with shitpal before. I plan on testing this myself with a fake order, but wanted to ask first before I risk throwing up red flags at paypal HQ or having a withdrawal go wrong 2 weeks from now.

EDIT: Just to clarify, I am not talking about the billing descriptor that shows on a customer's credit card statement.
