Thought I'd share, he's definitely a multi-talented guy who hasn't broken through yet. Check him out.

And ideally, upvote for exposure.

I only have a few friends who do the music thing. One was a punk rock group that saw some success before breaking apart, and the other are mostly rock groups and rap artists. And maybe it's just circumstance, but all of the rap artists I know have a lot of drive and enthusiasm. Many of the rock artists I know were never "hustling" or recognizing the odds of succeeding the same way that my rap artist friends were.

I'm sure there's more to factor in that, but it always drew me to those types because they shared the same entrepreneurial mentality of using a skill to pursue a socially-admonished goal.

So definitely, hit your inb4s, but if you like rap or hip hop, give him a listen. I just found out that he's being groomed by some big names in California, so that's good news for him.

omg cats in space!!!

mad props to him, everyone looks at the figures he is making but not how much hard work dedication went towards doing what he did.

Fuck rap. Tell your friend to get off his lazy ass and learn to play an instrument.

he was good until he started rapping. the building the walls thing was funny - and he should try comedy.

after that - he started saying the same shit every other 18-year-old does who's "broke and coming from nothing". the same, exact, shit. I don't know if it's good or not because I can't listen to people like Kendrick Lemur, Chief Keef and the Glory Holes and others like that.

Nice beat tho.

It's great that you're encouraging your friend.

The music industry is a tough business. My wife is a muso so I get to see the inside of this industry. You need a lot of fortitude and perseverance.

I shared his youtube video on my facebook. Hope he keeps going...

Making it in the music industry is a billion times easier than it was back in the day before the internet/youtube.

Music is naturally viral if it's any good, even without the internet. The internet just supercharges everything.

Basic formula is get a good beat (most important), throw the vocals on it, shoot the video (cheap and simple), edit video, upload to Youtube. You can do this within a couple hours. Then repeat until you have a following and or massive hit.

Also he's definitely good overall, so if Mackledork can get famous this guy def. can.

Fortunately you don't even need to be good to be a famous rapper these days, Drake, Wiz Khalifa, Kendrick Lamar are great case studies in this regard. Just reverse engineer what they did then do that and you're good.

Mixtapes are a good place to start obviously and if your friend can get on Nickelodeon or some other children's network he'll be famous within 5 yearsish.

Lol like Nashville doesn't recycle the same shit over and over

Whats this world coming to when there are white fucking rappers. I mean we put up with eminem only becsuse he had fucked up white albino hair and I thought he would end up in a high speed chase in a shoot out with cops. I guess that isnt going to happen so he is of no interest.

Can he sing country? Win the crowd and win your freedom and all that. Only crowd he will draw is homosexual webmasters.

Is he ready to completely sell his soul to fame? TO make it in that industry, they put you through a lot. Music is becoming the new religion and it's tightly controlled.
