Hi there

I hope you guys are doing great. I had a question related to some payment processing crap that I wanted to ask.

Anyway, I am looking for a payment processor that lets my clients to pay either through credit card or through Paypal. But what I mainly want is:

1- When the client chooses to pay through Paypal, he shouldn't have to enter all the extra details such as the street address. I mean, what the point of anonymity if you still have to enter the details? Should be a simple email sort of thing or something simple like that.

2- My COMPANY/website name shows up when they do make a transaction through Paypal (or credit card for that matter).

Can you guys point me in the right direction?

When the client chooses to pay through Paypal, he shouldn't have to enter all the extra details such as the street
address.

This only applies if they are either signing up for a new account with PayPal, or are using a credit card through PayPal as the processor. Either way, it's unavoidable. If you want anonymous, accept payments via Bitcoin or some other cryptocurrency.

2- My COMPANY/website name shows up when they do make a transaction through Paypal (or credit card for that matter).

This won't happen with many processors - it's their name that will show up on the client's credit card statement. If you want your business' name to show up, you'll need your own merchant account.

I am not sure I get what you are saying. I currently accept payments through 2checkout and my clients have to enter all of the details even if they are just paying through Paypal.

Is that true with all 3rd party payment processors? Or is it just this one? If a person is paying me through Paypal shouldn't he just have to enter his Paypal email or at most his name? Makes more sense.

Paypal is a must have for any serious business.

Thank you for the reply!

As long as the customer is paying with a credit/debit card they will have to enter a billing address at some point.

You get to choose those names when you're setting up Paypal and the account with the processing company.

Also, you seem to think that Paypal has something to do with your CC processor. They are actually separate. You have to set them up independently

EDIT: Ohh I get it you're talking about things like 2Checkout & Plimus. I thougt you were referring to actual gateways. sowwy

Yep. I do have a paypal account of my own set up but I don't want to upgrade it to a paypal business account and am looking for a way to have my company name shown on the invoice without setting up a Paypal business account.

When the clients checks out, he has to options:

1- To pay via credit card
2- To pay via Paypal

If the client is paying through a credit card, then yes he HAS to enter the information. But if he chooses to pay via Paypal, then the information does not seem necessary.

I hope I am not making this too difficult to understand. :crap:

Not gonna happen- just set up a PP biz acct and quit fucking around.

That is IF you are a
... serious business.

:1orglaugh:

Why not go with a merchant account, is the real question here. Unless you're selling some shady shit which I understand

Of course they do. 2CO demands more details from a buyer than Paypal itself. But this is a price of your higher safety. Want chargebacks and fraud? Don't use 2CO or similar services.

.

2CO is an option but be prepared for more transaction fees and other charges. But their customer service is absolutely pathetic.

OP, I recently heard about a payment processing company where the CEO forfeited his $1 million salary to raise his employees minimum wage. Maybe you should check them out.
