doesn't hobbster already have a chair that solves this?

You ignored the fact that girls get them too without being hairy. Hair is a primary cause but shit happens to random people. Mr. internet expert.... I'm sure you've really studied pilonidal cysts. meh

You say hygeine then say it has nothing to do with washing yourself. gtfo

Because girls don't have butt hair.

Work on your reading comprehension then come back and try again.

Yes it is common. It happens like this.

Hair grows in. Your body doesn't want to get infected so it forms a bubble around it. Now if you shaved regularky for example, you'd scrape it away. If you showered instead, the soapy soap would wash it out. But you don't. So it grows on you. I know your doctor didn't say that. Doctors avoid telling their patients it's their fault. Guess why?
I have a regularly reoccurring sebaceous cyst on my earlobe.

In your clearly expert medical opinion, is it that I don't wash my ears enough?

Or that I wear headphones all day which puts pressure on them?

Welp, now my biggest fear is that I'm going to develop one of these and have to have a large chunk of my body removed to treat it, thanks bro.

I had these on both ear lobes years ago. Finally the doctor just cut them out and they never came back.

The same thing happened to me, but closer to my asshole. It was the most pain I had ever experienced in my life. Luckily the thing popped while I was sleeping, (made an amazing mess, btw) so I didn't have to have it lanced.

Fucken gross... -nep.

Seriously, nobody wants to see your surgery wounds, especially when they're from your ass.

Yeah, when I brought it up to my doctor before, he didn't, since he called them cosmetic. I was planning to see him again, saying it was causing irritation and constant attempts to pop it. After talking to my dad (retired GP), turns out GPs have a 10 minute slot to see you, and I generally save up my problems to get them done in one go, which was probably the reason he didn't. I'm booking in a slot to have it removed next week, I don't mind the occasional one on my back, but the earlobe really bugs me. Apparently the longer you leave them, the harder they are to remove, since scar tissue builds up, etc.

P.S. Those who've mentioned lancing, that won't fix the problem, it'll just put it off for a bit. Doctors rarely lance cysts, the only way to go is to have it cut out.
