What you guys fail to realize is that 90% of the problem is the way people are raised and the environment that they grew up in. Please note that I am not saying this should be a valid excuse, or that this applies to everyone. There will always be people who come from poor/violent backgrounds and end up uber successful, but those people will always be outliers.
Here in California, most if not all gardeners today are Hispanic. However, the Japanese used to be the gardeners. Read this quick latimes article:
Japanese gardener one of the last of a disappearing breed - Los Angeles Times
Some choice quotes:
The tiny warehouse sold gardening goods at fair prices and had once served thousands of Japanese American gardeners.
But members have retired or died. They have persuaded their children to dream bigger.
The issei never expected the second and third generation to take up such a grueling trade. Gardening was always meant to be a means of support, not a legacy to pass down.
I used to warn my friends' kids about this," Hamada says. "Hey, you don't study hard, you're going to become a gardener.
So, there are no more Japanese gardeners because in general they did not view it as a career to keep in the family. They wanted their kids to do bigger and better things, and today they are.
However, with Hispanics, they take pride in manual labor. In fact, even if you're making more money, a lot of Hispanics look down on men who have desk jobs. This is ingrained in their culture. My current gardener already brings his little kids along with him on jobs. They don't help that much, but he is getting them ready for the future in gardening. They are learning the trade, and will most likely become gardeners because that is all they've ever known, and there is absolutely nothing wrong with that.
Its hard work, and if someone feels proud and satisfied at the end of their day of gardening, then how can you argue that they are any less successful than someone who gets the same feeling from being a CEO of a Fortune 500 Company.
So how did this relate to what you guys are talking about? Because you guys are trying to figure out why a bunch of Muslim immigrants in the UK are breeding like crazy, leeching benefits, and causing violence, and you are trying to use your logic to find answers. Well guess what? Your logic is completely different from theirs.
If we grew up in a sandy shithole with beheadings, extremists, lack of education, little progress, etc. we'd be a lot different too. You cannot expect to let a bunch of people immigrate to what really is a completely different world, and expect them to unlearn all of that crap.
I realize I'm going to catch shit for this, especially since the media is on a parade for equality and anyone who talks bad about Muslims is terrible, but realize that I do not feel this way about all Muslims. There are plenty of Muslims who are happy, productive members of society, but when you look at the numbers and look at what's going on in the Middle East and UK, you need to be honest with yourself and just admit that that's the way it is, and probably always will be for most of those people.
It is ingrained in their culture and society. At the end of the day though, the real problem is the law makers. Why are they able to get so many benefits? Why are they not being deported? Why are more being allowed in when we already have problems?
Here in the US, there are illegal immigrants committing felonies and in some cases are not being charged or deported. Yep, that makes sense. Because if we deported them that would be a crime against humanity. Well, humanity is on the downfall. I for one just hope I can make enough money and have enough success in the next 20 years that I can have the means to live wherever I please. Hong Kong and Singapore look great.
