Actually these two are both great questions. The second question's answer is pretty simple: They don't want to do that. Oil rich Arab countries are not good places for immigrants. The immigrants that work do so under slave conditions and the ones that don't, well, I can't imagine you'd have a good life when you can't even qualify as a slave.
I have a question as well (not a criticism of anything, just genuinely curious) - how does one immigrate from Pakistan to the UK? I'm sure a regular Pakistani guy can't just go to the British consulate and get a residence. Yet there are a lot of immigrants. What's the path for an average Pakistani/whatever guy to immigrate? I'm guessing it's mostly through family ties or something? Because if that's true, it gets much more complicated than "just don't allow immigrants".
I am not sure about British law, but there are two or three waves. First was imported workforce in the booming 60s, Pakistan in Britain, Turks in mainland Europe. Second was Palestinian 'refugees' in the 80s and onwards enabled by extremely friendly refugee laws. Third is a free for all, African, Arab, East European, just get in and claim asylum.
The way populations have grown are through being granted citizenship way, way too easily. They then have a right as citizens to marry who they want and bring their family to their country. I also believe that refugees have similar rights, such as one gets permission to stay and can bring wife and kids to the country.
Paid repratiation, Japan style, is the sensible solution. Pay them to leave on binding terms that they won't return. Remove permit to stay for all who commit crimes and are not citizens. Shouldn't even be a judicial process, but an administrative one. Commit crimes as a foreigner and its out, done, in 3 days and you're banned 10 years from coming back. Move asylum centers to remote islands, so fake asylum seekers find it less appealing. Outsource local prisons for non-citizens to Russia or Eastern Europe.

Am I 100% accurate? No, and of course I can't tell if someone's a Muslim convert. But I don't think my accuracy rate's too bad. If you're talking to someone and know their surname, you can typically verify whether they're Muslim or Hindu from that. Men are easier to tell apart.

Turks in mainland Europe (mostly in Germany) are huge in numbers, and they never really integrated or tried to integrate. Being a Muslim in an intimidating country was rare at the time the workers were imported, and those people came from the worst backgrounds (because all Germany was seeking was totally unqualified factory workers), so combined they just clung onto their Turkish/Muslim identities.
In spite of their huge numbers and resistance to integration, I think Turks in Germany are doing better than Pakistanis/Africans etc. are doing in Britain. I'm not sure if this is because Germans are more tolerant to other people (lololol) or something like that, but I think it needs to be studied

I dunno, I see Pakistani business owners everywhere, as well as a lot of other professions. Not sure about Turks, I couldn't recognise a Turkish person, and I don't think the number of Turkish immigrants is particularly high here.
No, but that's not how it works. If a country like the UK, Canada, whatever provides you with immigration status (refugee, asylum, whatever), it's to give you a better chance at building a good life for yourself. It's not for you to sit around and moan and complain about how hard life is. Many of these people seem to be under the assumption that as long as they make it to the Heathrow airport, their journey is over, and they're good to go for life.
If anything, saying things like that is a disgrace to all the hard working immigrants out there. There's tons of immigrants from all over the world who didn't have it any easier, but hauled ass for years, and made a good life for themselves, heavy accent and all. All you have to do is spend a couple weeks in a place like Toronto, hang out in the different ethnic communities there, chat people up, and you'll see for yourself. Lots of these people just showed up with $50 to their name, no idea what they're doing, and are now doing quite well for themselves.
Then the no education thing isn't really an excuse for me anymore either. It's 2014, the amount of quality, free education available nowadays is almost unfathomable. You have everything from the very basics, to prestigious universities like Stanford and MIT offering all course material free of charge. If you want to increase your skill set, you can.

What you guys fail to realize is that 90% of the problem is the way people are raised and the environment that they grew up in. Please note that I am not saying this should be a valid excuse, or that this applies to everyone. There will always be people who come from poor/violent backgrounds and end up uber successful, but those people will always be outliers.

I realize I'm going to catch shit for this, especially since the media is on a parade for equality and anyone who talks bad about Muslims is terrible, but realize that I do not feel this way about all Muslims. There are plenty of Muslims who are happy, productive members of society, but when you look at the numbers and look at what's going on in the Middle East and UK, you need to be honest with yourself and just admit that that's the way it is, and probably always will be for most of those people.
It is ingrained in their culture and society. At the end of the day though, the real problem is the law makers. Why are they able to get so many benefits? Why are they not being deported? Why are more being allowed in when we already have problems?
Here in the US, there are illegal immigrants committing felonies and in some cases are not being charged or deported. Yep, that makes sense. Because if we deported them that would be a crime against humanity. Well, humanity is on the downfall. I for one just hope I can make enough money and have enough success in the next 20 years that I can have the means to live wherever I please. Hong Kong and Singapore look great.

I'm sorry, but have to disagree. When these people go back to their home countries and villages, how do you think they act around their friends and family? Do they think they just grab everything they possibly can with total disregard, and complain they don't get enough?
I can almost promise you they don't. Instead, they're very polite, respectful, they share, they probably even give more than they can afford to in many cases. For some reason though, once they hit the West, it's game on and rape & pillage time. I mean, come on... 13 years and 9 kids later, and still can't afford the rent?
Not sure what you disagree with. Once again, different people, different culture. Why do some immigrant groups latch onto benefits while others take pride in excelling in their new home land and bettering themselves? Its their culture and the society they grew up in.
Oh, and the reason they wouldn't go back to their country of origin and take freebies is because the freebies don't exist there, which is why I made the law makers comment. As far as benefits go, we can complain all we want about people taking advantage of them, but why are they able to take advantage of them?
I don't know what its like in the UK, but here in the US popping out babies has become a business model. More kids, more money. And then the endless cycle of retards continues.

I agree. Generalizing a "people" is usually a stupid thing to do since intra-group variance nearly always trumps inter-group variance.
The US is an immigrant country and it's generated unbelievable amounts of wealth. Even if you define "immigrant" as Muslim/Indian/brown etc. there are still countless examples of extremely successful businessmen who are first generation immigrants.
