It's been years since I had to buy a new mouse, and have no idea if there is anything that one "must have" in his next mouse (for his non Mac).

and a small offering for your suggestions.

I switched to trackballs. I am much more satisfied. Instead of having a big ass mousepad and having to worry about where my mouse cord was, and running into the wall next to my desk, I now have a slightly bigger "mouse" that sits on one spot on my desk. Mouse tech is largely the same, especially if you don't' play video games.

EDIT:

Learning curve was about a week to feel comfortable. A little longer to feel proficient. You can use a higher mouse sensitivity with a trackball than you normally would with a mouse. This is important if you play video games. If you have greasy fingers you have to clean your ball once or twice a day. It takes about 5-10 seconds, not a big deal at all.

Ive been thinking about a trackball for years. Which one are you using? I remember logitech had one that looked pretty decent. Im thinking a trackball would be great for fine detail work in things like photoshop.

Forgot to put in the OP, I am very much anti wireless mouse.

^Is it wrong that pix like this kill boners for me?

Considering the bitch looks like an asian tranny with a moon shaped head and a massive forehead and one of the most disgusting pussys I have seen. No you're not gay.

I use the Logitech Marble Mouse. I don't use wireless mice either. It's about ~$25 with shipping. I'll be getting a CST LaserTRAC Trackball the next time it's on Massdrop. I prefer finger balls as opposed to the thumb ones.

I was going to post the mother of all mouses but then I realized you posted post-op tranny vag so fuck you op.

My favourite mouse for the past four years. Not sure if you game though or wtf you even want, there's really no such thing as a 'must have mouse' because everybody uses the computer for different reasons dawgy.

Some people like trackballs, I love this.

Evoluent, its a hundred and some odd... but well worth the price.

Edit: that pic sucked, plz something better next time.

Get something that varies your posture... stave off those repetitive stress injuries.

I was going down a bad bath but a few key stretches and a different mouse(3m joystick mouse) alleviated all symptoms within a week and haven't returned(in years).

I've found that a good gaming mouse is great for just about anything you'd be doing for hours at a time on a PC - comfort over time is a major feature for anything good in that space.

I've been using this for a few months after a friend recommended it and the design definitely makes it comfortable to use as long as you use the finger ledge. I don't have particularly large hands though, if you do this mouse won't work for you:

I used to use these for the past 10 years, before Microsoft discontinued them:

After trying about half a dozen mice in search for a worthy replacement, I settled on the Logitech G400s series:

Perfect for just about everything I can think of. From Counterstrike to coding. I highly recommend it to everyone.

I don't know how you guys like trackballs. I remember I tried a trackball like 10 years ago (my friend had one) and I thought it was the worst thing ever. I had basically no precision with the pointer at all. Simply clicking on a link for instance took a lot more effort and time than it would with a regular mouse. But, I could just be retarded, or maybe they've improved trackball technology or something.
