Facebook Atlas

Bye bye google display network and bye bye google mobile display.

The only piece of the puzzle that's safe for now is search.

Well its simple, they allow advertisers to target by demographic, so the individual visitor rather than just by traffic flow. As an advertiser you are usually willing to pay much more for that.

An example would be if I wanted to advertise a weightloss product. I know my demo is 30-55 year old women, so rather than going to google planner and finding sites that are more likely to have my demo (and will have a lot of traffic that is not) I can advertise on all kinds of sites, but only target the particular demo I am interested in. So for example I could advertise on popularmechanic.com but still target my female 30-55 demo.

It's very powerful stuff.

On mobile its even MORE powerful.

What do the ads look like?

And where do you signup as a publisher?

Are they really going to open this up to everybody? Or is it going to be like unless you are a big brand or have a massive site / massive app you cant get in?

I'd say the ads are the same sizes as usual and they will open it up to everyone and their goat :)

One thing to bear in mind is that because the ads are not going to be on FB site then they are likely to be a lot more relaxed when it comes to approvals/bans.
