No wonder more people get infected. Complete bullshit from people living in disney land.

Did she touch his clipboard with snotty hands? She's in a full containment suit man. The people that have caught this thing have been handling patient's bloody puke, shit and whatever else is pouring out of their bodies.

If I were in his position, I would still request and wear a suit when meeting them at the plane, regardless of the facts. Maybe I'm paranoid?

'Who is clipboard man?': man without Hazmat suit helps Ebola patient onto plane - Telegraph

Watch the video. See how often he is moving his hand in the direction of the people and how he is try to catch something in the end from one of the guys (water flask?) only in THAT short sequence?

Thats a pure joke. I mean, you guys even think about what is shown there?

You saw there the transport of one of the two hospital personals who got infected by the first infection source even THEY had used the correct hazard suites and all.

And now you see there a guy moving around them without any protection and you still think "hey, thats is ok"?

Is there any way to ensure that the enviroment around infected people is clean? No, its not - and that is the reason you have hazard areas which deal with that fact and ensure not only the direct infection but also the indirect can't happen.

Actually, no, they didn't use the correct hazard suits and all. It's been reported repeatedly that Thomas Eric Duncan spent many hours in the ER attended to by staff without protective clothing, and for three days after that, the protective clothing worn by those tending to him in isolation was insufficient.

And now you see there a guy moving around them without any protection and you still think "hey, thats is ok"?

He's not treating the patient and isn't coming into contact with her bodily fluids. How hard is that to understand? Unless she spontaneously explodes nothing bad is going to happen to the guy.

I'm not concerned about Ebola, but that's not correct. The reason there are procedures, and the reason clipboard guy is unwise, is accidents happen, sometimes without noticing.

Trip into a hazmat dude? Possible infection. Touch something they touched? Possible infection. Sneeze? Possible infection. Vomit? Possible infection. Etc. That's why he should have been in a suit.

This isn't just any kind of disease, this is EBOLA, the guy carrying the clipboard without any protection is fucking retard, its like fucking someone that has aids without a condom.

gigidy.

Of course it's correct. He's following the procedures. He's not treating the patient or coming into contact with her bodily fluids. She's completely contained in the hazmat suit. It doesn't matter if she sneezes, pukes or shits herself, she's completely sealed up. The dudes escorting her, have probably never come into contact with her either so if he trips into one of them it's irrelevant. The pilots on the plane aren't wearing any protection either BTW, but they're not going to be touching her so it doesn't matter.

By your logic every single person in a hospital treating a Ebola patient should be in a hazmat suit, patients and staff alike. And every person they know should be in one too. Maybe we should all just be in one. Because 10 feet away, or 10,000 feet away, accidents happen

does that make you wet?

Nope, and you're still a miserable little cunt.

So why would they need to wear the suits then? ;)

Anyhow, I highly recommend everyone checks out the VICE series on ebola. Skip to 4:00 to see what the doc says about those hazmat suits. There is still a high risk of infection if you don't know how to put them on and take them off.

The patient there is in an isolation suit. See the one in yellow? Thats the patient. The ebola is trapped in that suit with her. Those other guys are in hazmat suits because they deal directly with the patient, they're more than likely Doctors/Nurses. They probably put those suits on because they came into in contact with the patient. Someone has got to put her in that suit and take her out of that suit, etc...

The guy with the clipboard isn't going to be anywhere near that shit. He never comes into contact with the patient outside of her suit. Stop overreacting.

Shocking #003 - medical equipment might not work if not used correctly (one weird trick)

Have you guys ever had some idiot try to explain down your business model or marketing campaign, and you were like "wat"?

That's what it's like watching you guys armchair about MOPP gear.

I watched this Vice special with the fucking douchebag reporter getting in the fucking faces of Ebola victims while talking to them a few weeks ago. What a fucking dipshit with the way he was doing it.. it's almost like he wanted to get it. Then we could all feel bad for poor reporter.

To those who say it's not airborne.. well no it's not exactly. But it lives in all fluids including saliva. When people talk, much of their saliva is aerosolized and it will live in that for a bit. Not to mention, some fuckers talk like Sylvester the cat from Loony Toons. There are different levels of airborne.
