Would you help your parents commit suicide?

Spawned from SeoReborn's cancer thread. If one of your parents ever asked you to help them commit suicide, would you do it?

Say they're getting older, have lived a good life but are now terminally ill. They might die in 2 months, but who knows, they might last 24 months. If one of them ever came to you and said, "hey honey, I've lived a great life, have no regrets, but I don't want to go through the agony that awaits me, so can you help me make the pain go away?", would you do it?

Yes, no problem for me.

I had same conversation with fiancee recently and told her I wouldn't have an issue pulling the plug on her, but was sad to hear she wouldn't do the same for me.

Pulling the plug is the unselfish thing to do.

Seeing someone die in terrible pain for days or weeks is awful and completely ruins your memories of them after they die. They usually get really thin and often start going a bit crazy too, it leaves horrible lasting memories that cloud thoughts of better times.

I probably could do it for a stranger but would be hard for a parent or someone close.

And damn, this place has turned into a ghost town. It used to be pretty active a few years back.

It is rather quiet now. SEO is obvious and affiliate marketing was killed off for many people, so I guess most people are going off to do proper businesses. I visited the Traffic and Content forum the other day for first time in a while and it is like everyone now has 1 to 20 posts and dumb replies. Even the established members have given up calling for bans or taking the piss of newbies or cock spinning them, the morons have won.

Would you have sex with your son to save his life?

Would you have sex with your mother to save your father's life?

like if someone had a gun to your father's head and said, "Have sex with your mother or else I'll shoot him"?

How about if someone made you have sex with your mother and father to save your own life?

Vlad the impaler literally cooked babies and made the mothers eat them, then he cut off their breasts and made the husbands eat them. Then he impaled them all, ass to brains. Way worse shit has happened when people were forced to do something.

As much as I believe a patient's right to Euthanasia for terminal illnesses, I'm not sure if I could personally assist a loved one in killing themselves say outside of a hospital.

Silly question, but in the US does this became an economically motivated issue?

No fucking way, I would want to spend as much time with them as possible. That is fucked up man. Would you?

That's fucking selfish. I would do it if they asked. How the fuck could you let someone suffer just so you can spend more time with them? Especially is they ask you to "help" them.

So what if it's selfish. You are never going to see the person again, who you care about.

By your logic we should just kill everyone with a terminal illness.

So you only want to think about yourself and not about the fact that they're in pain and suffering? You don't care that their quality of life went to shit and they might not even be lucid near the end? All that matters is you seeing more of them? You might not like what you see. You clearly never had to deal with a relative in pain and suffering.

When you say "who you care about" it should mean you should care about the fact that they don't want to suffer and respect their decisions.

Nobody is suggesting to kill all terminally ill patients; of course this decision rests solely with the patient.

Without question. Simply because if I was in that position due to a car accident or something, I would expect them to love me enough to respect my wishes, and help me. It would definitely be one of the hardest things I've ever done, and I'd probably cry non-stop for a week, but yeah... I'd do it. And I know they'd do it for me.

I mean, who wants to spend the last months of their life with some strange nurse changing their bed pan every time they take a shit, right? I couldn't imagine doing that, and my dad is an even prouder individual than myself, so... yeah.
