NYPD taking a vacation from arresting people?

It's great, it's almost like they are doing the right thing, but they are only doing it to hit de blasio in the wallet. The police are largely back door tax collectors 99% of their time is spent creating revenue for the state. I think it's a little bit funny how they are deciding to slow down because they are angry at their perceived boss the mayor for only being 95% percent in support of them instead of 100% but really the people who pay their salaries in taxes is supposed to be their boss.

Fuck yeah NYC makes so much money off the petty shit, normally.

I got a parking ticket for $380 for a bumper being 2" into a yellow curb.

Week starting Dec. 22 onward between 2013 and 2014

This goes to show the level of bullshit society lives under. The police have stopped working ,and yet the city has not burned to the ground.

That article didn't mention it but the Police Union is pissed off that they've been without a contract for a few years. They pull this bullshit every time their contract is up. Protect and Serve but only when they like their contract.

As European, I just can't relate to police brutality. Is it really so huge problem in the states? It's mentioned here like every fucking month.

Not really.

When you attack cops and/or point guns at them, there is a good chance things will not go well for you. Most people aren't that fucking stupid though, despite what all the recent manufactured media hype lately would indicate.

The reason you're seeing it on TV so much lately is because there are people that make a lot of money off of creating and perpetuating a permanent victim class, and they use the media to push their agenda, while the media uses them to sell eyeballs.

If you look at the actual stats for police violence, there is nothing unusual happening. Also, a lot more white people are assaulted/killed by cops, but that doesn't make as good of a story so it gets ignored.

It sounds like all of this is exactly what needs to happen. Ignore petty stuff, focus on things that matter. Hope the trend continues.

It's so fucking bad now we have puppet shows trying to explain the huge new murder numbers to kids:

[ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U7tZqt_Njkc"]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U7tZqt_Njkc[/ame]

That website, FatalEncounters.org, is the only place you're going to find stats on police murdering americans. Not even the Feds will let the public see numbers on this, and there are constant attacks on this site trying to take it offline, kind of like Wikileaks.

They take all of their data directly from news reports, each and every occurence verifiable, and the totals are unfuckingbeleivable.

Happy new years, bros!

by "its so fucking bad now", i'll assume you mean the levels of douchebag-circulated propaganda... unless there's some huge outcry by little kids for a sesame-street styled video to help them along in their homicide statistics research.

You must be on crack if you think those "requirements" for a good cop are reasonable.

You are missing the point.

The filimingcops post wasn't written as a honest challenge. It was written to demonstrate that every cop, by virtue of his professional mandate, is a bad person. He is hired to do things (ref. requirements 1 through 3) that are inconsistent with being a good person (as defined by the post's author).

lukep knows that.
