Hey I know a few people on here don't just sit on their asses all day, even when not working. I know a few of you go to the gym etc, so here's a video I just made with two friends doing a crossfit workout...

I'm the one with red hair in the middle. Left is Ian R, right is DC. Sorry for the shitty camera angle

YouTube - Crossfit Workout #1

It can hurt you if you use really really bad form like the guy on the right was.... (DC).. He's a beginner though and it's like learning to drive a manual gearbox. You probably noticed he raised his heels a lot (can be bad for the knees), and we were trying to get him to stop but he kept forgetting.

I do a couple workouts like this a week. I have strength focused days, endurance focused days, anaerobic + aerobic combo days, and strength/endurance combo days. Needless to say I'm into MMA training.

I don't follow crossfit religiously - more a combo of crossfit and infinite intensity program from RossTraining - Bridging The Gap Between Ordinary and Extraordinary.

I'm no health expert, but the way you throw the weights above your shoulders (rather than actually lifting them) is not only not helping your training, it's very bad for your body.

Not saying I could do it, of course.

It's ok man I understand your perspective (this is what most people think), but it's called a hang power clean. It's an olympic lift using explosive force to clean the weights. It's not bad, and it helps training immensely... Unless you only train to look good in front of the mirror. Those people just do fucking bench presses all day.

Fair enough.

I look good without training. My mother told me. She said I was a very special boy.

Man I can't wait for tomorrow:

Block 1: (repeat as many times as possible in 10 minutes):
2 75lb dumbell snatches per arm
6 burpees

Block 2: as many reps as possible in 10 minutes
20lb non-bouncing medicine ball slams (dball.com if anyone wants one... $$$$ though)

Block 3: As many heavy bag punches as possible in 5 minutes, focus on power.

Notes: Limit rest between blocks. If possible, I'll do blocks 1 and 2 without resting.

I'm really fucking excited.

lol I love all the workout experts that come out of the woodwork here. if you haven't done crossfit or similar style workouts you have no idea what its for and how intense it can be. checkout gymjones.com for a spinoff type workout thats pretty intense.
