Phre0nBurn where does the license plate go above the rear tire?
it's kinda hard to tell anything from that picture

It depends on the kit you get, and what type of bike it is... But a lot of kits mount the plate under the tail, about inline with the rear passenger footpegs...

It sits just above the rear tire...

More to the front side of it...

I always did it myself with my bikes, I would remove the whole plate and turn signal assembly, get a set of sleek small turn signals (usually for import cars) that have a relay, and mount them flush on the underside of the tail... It looks awesome when done right...
Then for the plate, Ill either make a small mounting plate for it, or just make 2 small holes above the rear tire in the underside of the tail, and bend the top of the plate, then zip tie the fucker on there...

Its hard to see the plate from far, but still enough to see if a cop gets right behind you...

Mywaterisland:

True true, Im from cali... So I know what you mean. That being said...

If people didnt sacrifice safety for looks, ferrari drivers would all wear helmets and suits.
:)

About Duc's (Ducati), they are all around good bikes, but they are built more for track use than for street use... From the suspension to the annoying dry clutch (ever sit next to a running Duc @ a light? You hear that metal noise that sounds like something is broken? Its supposed to do that!)

The major 3 Jap bikes are all good...
Honda has the CBR, Suzi has the GSXR, and Yama has the R6 and R1

Never stray away from those models, as things like F4i's and Busa's are just lame...

I personally love Yamaha, they make damn good bikes, and I think they are the sexiest of the above lineup...

Your size and riding style also depends on the best bike for you...

Yamaha's are slimmer than the others, or at least they FEEL slimmer, and smaller, which I like... Im just under 200 lbs and about 6'
Suzukis feel the biggest, with Honda right there in the middle...

Ducatis are supposed to do that? The guy around here has one and I thought he was a moron for not replacing the throwout bearing. Thats what it sounds to me like. A bad throwout bearing. Fuck

Hahaha

Yep!

I know, it does sound like a bad throwout bearing. Thats kinda what my old Civic sounded like when my throwout bearing went bad.

But yea, its a "dry" clutch, so it just sounds like that.

This as good a thread as any for a first post I suppose.

This is my bike with me on it looking like a jack-ass!

Honda all the way. I beat the shit out of this thing and it still runs great.

Are street bikes not as comfortable to ride when compared to a harley or something? It seems like being hunched over all the time would get old? How do you take long trips?

Yea, I love the color too... I don't like red...
I dont really like Yama's blue anymore either...

I painted my R6 all flat black, just like the bike above, and furred out the seats with leapord print... haha

That, the tats, and the hawk I had @ the time... Girlies got moist ;)
haha

I love the Raven R1... Mmmmmm makes me drool... Its like porn.

Actually trying to get rid of my bike right now ... all my life I wanted a big fat cruiser, and when I finally got one ... just not my thing. Going back to STs next year. I rode a Honda ST1100 for years, and am looking at the latest incarnation of that as well as the new Concourse from Kawasaki, which is stunning to behold and getting good reviews.
