My folks have understood that I need to invest money in my own future.

I still help some, but they understand there's not an unending supply of moniez.

If that is the case, better continue to give money to your sister but start in full (the
usual money you give) then next give half of the amount, then later give just enough and while doing that, you can write a letter addressing your feelings towards the situation and give it to your sister. But that time, they will understand the situation and will try to look for solution about their problem.
