Raise your hand if your apartment complex just got hit by a tornado

scary shit, i had one hit my school once while we were locked inside a closet. probably one of the scariest moments of my life.
 
jesus. I can't imagine. What did you do? Where would you go in your apartment? In the bathtub?
 
The tornadoes missed me by a county or so but the high winds blew a 100 year old tree on top of my roof. The second tree in a month! An ice storm put the first one on the roof a month ago.
 
Glad you're safe buddy! The worst I have witnessed in natural calamities all my life was floods two years ago! Never witnessed a tornado, not that i'd like to :|

I didn't have time to get there. I was watching the news when they said it was in my area and then it hit their station and power went out.

I'm on the second story and went out to the balcony to see what was happening and as soon as I looked out the door I see a giant white funnel cloud about to touch down. I ran inside and hid in a closet and rode it out. I've always said I wanted to see a tornado and now that I have, I never want to see one again. lol

I have recurring dreams about every month sometimes twice a month about tornadoes. Some are small and tall others are these gianormous mile wide ones. Some I see in the distance others are right on me (or us). Some are scary as hell other times are dreams are very awe inspiring. I don't know why I have these. Maybe they're like my recurring nuclear bomb dreams (although every one one of these are wake-up-almost-screaming type dreams)...some sort of lack of control or something?

I'm such a control freak.
 
Tornadoes in January? How often does that happen?

And it hit Springfield, I hope the Simpsons and the Flanders are ok....
