Ron Paul is a racist and thinks you are dumb enough to believe him!

If you want that sort of socialist bullshit you should move to Canada and then tell me how great it is.

/me shakes head

Socialists? Canada? hahahahahaha under a conservative government?
I guess your going to call Bernasconi's Italy, Tony Blairs England, and every other nation in the coalition of the willing socialists eh?

Because most people don't.

I think the fact you just called canada socialist shows how extreme your views are

Remember this

America has a higher tax rate than most countries that have free healthcare! This is because america has a massive defence budget.
What are our priorities?

Fine, when your Premium Private Health Insurance finds that you had a "preexisting condition" then maybe you won't think of it so badly hey?

And why should my hard earned tax dollars be going to pay for guns.

Ahh thats right, because that guarantees my hard earned dollars to tax! If we didn't have access to oil the economy would collapse

True true.... so its worth the 3500 americans lives.

Talk to almost any doctor and see how much they like the idea of government health care. They don't. They get under paid and half the time don't really get any money at all.

This is also why the majority of Canadians who need any sort of advance health care come to the United States. Because 1. Their health care sucks and 2. you have to get on a 6 month waiting list to get any sort of procedure.

That is EXACTLY what I want in America. Health care that sucks, Doctors that won't see me for month, and taxes around 50%. Sounds perfect.

And I like how you bring up the war when it is completely irrelevant to health care. I like how that is everyone's failsafe these days. When you don't have a good response, "omg but teh WARRRR!11111".

Oh, and Ron Paul is against the war anyways.

In australia the average wage for a doctor is $110K a year, I don't know what it is else where. Australia has a double public/private system. The private system covers like chiropractor, physio, dentistry, acupuncture, health equiptment.

And the public system covers hospitals, etc.

Dude, on the subject of universal healthcare, you do realize that in nearly all of those countries they still have private healthcare dont you? From my observations, doctors in the states want to do two things, 1) operate on anyone and everyone they can, even if the benefits are not insanely huge for the patient, 2) protect their asses because they will most likely be sued if they do even the slighest thing wrong.

I do like the service in the states, but at the same time I would prefer to see healthcare run a little less like a business.

lovayl - I would agree with you except you have picked the wrong leader. Ron Paul makes crazy look sane. Hell, he is 1/2 step saner than Britney Spears

Why the fuck should MY hard earned money go to pay for other people's shitty health care. If someone smokes 2 packs a day and get lung caner I don't want to give him a dime.

ffs people, look at both ends of the spectrum.

/me shakes head

But would you not mind picking up the collective bill to save a sick 21 year old on $18K a year who was born with a preexisting heart condition or in a tragic accident?

Yeah, exactly, look at both ends of the spectrum!

I think you're a bit outdated bud, doctors in Australia make more than $110K. A doctor who has been practicing for more than a couple of years is normally on around $200-300K. A junior consultant starts at about $120K.

That is when one of the private hospitals comes in. St. Marks, St. Judes, St. Lukes, I could go on and on and on.

All these issues were taken care of 50 years ago no problem, long before the government thought they had to babysit everyone, because of churches and privatized institutions/hospitals.

Oh and a doctor getting paid only 110k sounds like bullshit. If I spent 8 years of college/med school and another 2-4 years of residency to only make 110k/year I would be very disgruntled.

Hacker - the 21 year old would get medical treatment not left to die, what do you think the USA is a country of heartless idiots? get your head out your ass. Sure there are mistakes but show me were there are none when humans are involved!

I am sure people would donate, with media attention!

But the reality is this IS a daily reality....

People don't go to the doctors in america.

As someone that has lived in britain people have check ups every 6 months

bottom line

AMERICANS HAVE A SHORTER LIFE EXPECTANCY THAN OTHER COUNTRIES WITH THE SAME OR SIMILAR GDP!

hacker u crack me up, you have probably never been to the USA and yet you seem to think you know what you are talking about.
Also, I made over 150k last year and I will tell you this, it is not my responsibility to pay healthcare for someone who made 20k. you try and take what I worked my ass off for and you will meet my guns! See the thing is when a country starts doing that it is called France and we have all seen what that "experiment" screwed up!

Ron Paul Kicked Fox's ASS last night. Very good to see.

Wtf did you even watch the debate?? He got laughed at by the entire audience over his response to the Iranian speedboat question, the focus group unanimously said he lost the debate, and the only noise the crowd made for him the whole night was from his cheerleading section grouped together in the back of the auditorium.

YouTube - Ron Paul rants about Iran; Brit Hume and Romney smack him

Listen to them LAUGH at him. In the first Fox News debate, he was BOOED! Is this how you define Fox getting their ass kicked?

See this is the problem with most Ron Paul supporters I encounter. You're weak. You bury stories about competing candidates or negative stories about Ron Paul on Digg. You all at one start referring to him as "Dr. Paul"... you're like the ACLU with these coordinated index card talking points. You boast about fund raising records he sets, and then complain that elections are all about who has the most money. You storm every online or cellphone poll you can find to stack the deck for him. When there's a poll you can't swing, it's everybody else's fault. Fox is biased, the pollsters are against you, blah blah blah. There's a botnet sending out spam emails in support of him.

Do you NOT realize that you alienate people from your candidate with that shit? What that says to everyone who doesn't spend 2 hours a day on Digg is A.) Ron Paul's supporters must be immature or dishonest, B.) Ron Paul's ideas must not be strong enough to stand on their own (or against conflicting opinions) without these maniacal supporters of his and C.) Any positive poll numbers for Ron Paul must have been artificially inflated by his minions. It's to the point now where he'd probably be better off without the enthusiasm of his own supporters. Half of you come across like poster children for teenage angst, like an army of Howard Deans, you're the new "9/11 Truthers" or Area 51 conspiracy theorists. America... maybe not on your favorite social news site... but America... is LAUGHING at you. Why don't you just go to a debate and hold up signs that say "LOLFAG" or "STFU N00B", people might take you more seriously.

You've probably got 101 reasons why Fred Thompson, someone who is hardly taken seriously and took his sweet ass time with campaigning and participating in the debates, STEAMROLLED your guy last night. I don't even LIKE Fred Thompson, but at least I'm not in denial about what happened. The fact of the matter is that your conspiracy theories and Digg rings are not going to get this guy elected any sooner than denying he fell on his face last night and in the first FNC debate.

Agreed.

I like how Hacker never addressed my post about privatized institutions and hospitals. Wait, it's because I'm right.

At the end of the day I think 77/78 is a pretty damn good life expectancy. You go ahead and live a couple extra years, but I'll be a lot fucking happier with 15% more of my money.
