Good Point - Do It Now!

Do it NOW!!!!

Great post. Just read it and you are right on point geek c! I just decided to get to work and try many different avenues in affiliate marketing. I was having a difficult time uploading wordpress but I did not give up or give in. Now it is up and working. Why? Because there are so many resources of FREE information throughout WF and the internet in general. Do not let the hiccups of life stop you. Do not let failed campaigns deter you. Do not let the haters annoy you. Do what it takes to get the job done at all costs b/c no one gives a shit about you more than you do. So get up, stand up, and never give up!

PS: Wicked Fire ROCKS and Warrior Forum sucks cocks!

I have to disagree that this is a quality post. Come on guys.... you can't honestly tell me that you can't smell the spam a mile away.

It has all the tell-tale signs of a formated linking strategy.... blatant, and obvious.

Heck, who gives a crap if the same thread is posted somewhere else... it's $%@# spam.

Please, oh PLEASE don't tell me that you guys are that naive.....

:))

Every n00b does it. If I had to guess, I'd say that it's only natural.

Get this through your head right NOW:

The answer to your online success is NOT in that "one more thread" that you click on that will eat up ten more minutes of the *very* limited time in your day.

The answer to your online success is NOT in that new software that promises to make your life easier and enable you to work from the beach for ten minutes a day.

The answer to your online success is NOT in the latest buzzword, social media craze, or whatever else every "SEO Blogger" is talking about that week.

And the answer to your online success is CERTAINLY NOT in the latest hyped ebook touted by some asshole regurgitating information that he probably stole from these very forums (or even worse, DigitalPoint or Warrior Forum).

Odds are, you already know the answer to your online success because you've already read it twenty times in various places while nodding your head in agreement.

It's Do It Fucking Now.

What keeps most people back is that they think that they don't know enough to start something. They are afraid of failing and of some dire consequences that will come from it. But here's a secret:

MAN!! I LOVE YOU!!

Heck, who gives a crap if the same thread is posted somewhere else... it's $%@# spam.

Please, oh PLEASE don't tell me that you guys are that naive.....

1) The only place I posted that post - which I personally wrote off the top of my head - is here.

2) What am I spamming? Stupid ass. Ignore the post if you don't like it.

1) I could care less if it's posted anywhere else. Post it 100 times if you like for all I care.

2) Just because a post doesn't include BUY MY PRODUCT NOW, doesn't necessarily mean it's not spam. Spam threads INCLUDE posts by users where the primary goal is to benefit themselves, and NOT the community.

I don't know if you own any of those sites you linked too, but it the post sure stinks like my ex-gf's crotch. Somethings up.....

So lets take a look, shall we? And maybe at the same time, we'll educate some people here......

First off, the length of the post - Link quality is judged in many ways. A long article, that's well written (with some good LSI thrown in) could hold some weight in the SE's. Therefore, any links found inside the article would make for some great juice to your site(s).

Second - Authority Links - Judging the quality of an article is difficult, but it an article that points to several trusted sources can easily be deemed 'index worthy'. In this case we have links going to Yahoo, Dictionary.com, Wikipedia, Photobucket, and I didn't even bother checking the rest. These are known to be trusted sources..... at least for their specific market. Surrounding your links with all these places can help give the impression that your site is also a trusted source.

Third - The Opening Text - Gigantic colored lettering.....Instantly, I'm thinking 'sales pitch'. No one EVER uses those tactics unless they want people to pay attention and/or take part in whats going on. Especially if your links are in there somewhere. After all... it's all about the traffic, right?

Fourth - The Thread Title - How to make $100k, you tard..... Come on, be real with us. Do you actually think for one second that me, or anyone else for that matter, don't know that the title is specifically written so that the thread gets clicked on? I've been watching the exact same infomercial ad at 3am, every weekend, for the past ten years. "You can make a GAZILLION dollars, just sitting on your ass, not doing a god damn thing... you don't even need to BREATH!!!! My simple 3 step system will ma......."

Fifth - Earlier you were prodding to get someone to post a link to the other forum where 'supposedly', this information is already posted. I don't know if this thread exists, but you were practically begging. If the thread DOES in fact exist, then chances are, it's YOUR thread. And all you're looking to do is boost the linking profile of the mysterious said post. Everyone knows that link juice is not only judged by the content of the article in question, but also by how often it's linked to. SEO 101 fella's... get your links on pages that have lots of links pointing to it.... practically common knowledge.

Sixth - Let's not forget the biggest one of all.... nofollow. I don't see any no-follows attached to any of these links. So my guess is, you're one of those people that don't hang out on forums where no-follow exists, or forums that don't allow you to post links. Don't spend too much time on Webmaster World... do ya?

Oh look at that..... It just so happens that the Warrior forum ALSO doesn't have a no-follow system. Hmmmmmm....

"Gee Stitch, how do you know that the guy isn't just trying to help out?"

Simple - The best ROI ever, is always going to be 'natural search'. It's a total bitch to get to the top, but once you're there it's nothing more than a little maintenance every now and then. Websites are cheap as dirt, so it doesn't take much at all to turn a physically profit. Maybe not the big bucks you're looking for, but one of the links in that post is a PRIME example. SEO Black Hat - People in that business have hundreds, if not thousands, of spam sites, gimmicks, you name it. The sole purpose is not to make a quality business that's respected by it's customers and general community.... it's all about the ROI..... PERIOD. Once the ROI is dried up, then they tank it and move on to something else.

Last but not least, and this is a LOOOONG shot, but did anyone scan any of these sites to see if there were any type of affiliate cookie system of some kind. Something that forces your computer to download AF id's, malware, spyware, etc? I'm guessing not......

I think that about covers it. People, if you wanna stay alive online, don't believe everything you read. EVERYONE has SOMETHING to sell......

Almost forgot........

" And the answer to your online success is CERTAINLY NOT in the latest hyped ebook touted by some asshole regurgitating information that he probably stole from these very forums (or even worse, DigitalPoint or Warrior Forum).

Odds are, you already know the answer to your online success because you've already read it twenty times in various places while nodding your head in agreement.

It's ....<snip>"

Honestly, I really think I read this very same information is an ebook.... last year. The whole 'Do It Now' shits been done.

Wow. You really are the stupidest person to think that they are smart I have ever encountered.

Still working on that English degree, eh?

First of all, if I say this site isn't mine, then it obviously MUST be true. Geez...

Second, why did you bother saying that the yahoo, photobucket, wiki, and dictionary.com sites aren't yours? I think I made perfectly clear that this is not the case (duh), and backed it up with a very detailed 'why those links are there'.

I've been on-line for 10+ years, and I've seen every type of spam thought of. So, if the shoe fits......

Wow, 10 years. You must really be proud.

Ok, you're right. I'm a spammer. That post was spam. And you're the doggone smartest 10 year interwebz veteran EVARRRRRRRRRRRRRR!

What a dumb shit.

MrStitch.. you got all of 14 posts with ya and not ONE of your posts is of ANY use.

Instead, you are berating good members on how the WF forum should be run.

Please, just shut up.

PEOPLE, I NEED BANHAMMER PRIVILEGES!
::emp::

I'm not telling anyone how to run this forum. And where does 'post count' matter. It's a number.... like rep points... who gives a crap.

If Matt Cutts comes down and berates everyone, does he get 'the hammer' (cute by the way), just because he has one post?

That's pretty lame.

No, I'm not here to berate members. I simply got involved in a discussion because I feel that people should take some things with a grain of salt, and not believe everything they read, or trust those whom 'appear' to come without a sales pitch.

You can believe me if you want, I really don't care. I'm just hoping that someone, someday, will read all this and realize that they shouldn't take everything at face value and go off on some sort of mission just because Joe Blow tells them too.

By the way, imo, doing local seo/sem is a waste of effort. Will this secure a long term income? I highly doubt it, nor do I think you'll get the money you want from small business's. And you DON'T want to work for some corporate empire.... dollars are nice, but the cost is high.

Also, why are you telling everyone about this totally killer money making scheme anyways? Why don't you just do it yourself, one town at a time. Now THAT's a long term plan, with a much broader scope of income possibilities.

Just guessing here, but it's probably because it doesn't work out all that great, so you're pulling the whole "I've got this great idea to sell ya...."

*yawn* Read/seen that one a million times.

Actually, you are right.

Post count does not count in, there have been people gathering repute with 1 post.
You have not.

Post count does count shit... but making meaningful, useful posts does. Geekcognito has done that a lot of times and helped noobs and other experienced members alike.

I hope that I have.

You?

::emp::

Again with the 'face value' stuff.

I don't personally know Jesus Christ, but that doesn't mean I immediately think he's a complete bastard, just because he said some things AGAINST a few people.

OMG I just noticed I have red reputation.... WHAT WILL I EVER DO?!?!? NOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!

I'm not telling anyone how to run this forum. And where does 'post count' matter. It's a number.... like rep points... who gives a crap.

cool, since you don't give a crap don't bother the neg rep i'm giving you

If Matt Cutts comes down and berates everyone, does he get 'the hammer' (cute by the way), just because he has one post?

every jerks got a ban hammer here, don't give a shit even if he got 10k posts. Plus, I don't think Matt is a douche like you

Hey, tell you what? I've got a strange hunch. This hunch telling me, that you are a frustrated n00b who failed. Yea failed and don't have anything better than talk shit about other ppl idea.

I challenge you, Mr Stitch.

"Be the change you want to see in the world" - Actually, just this forum.

Start 5 threads of useful, or funny or great info.
Boobs count.

me? I have already done so.

::emp::

Noob?

In the ways of making money online, absolutely. No, I don't have an axe to grind either.

I 'choose' to work for someone else, because I need a guaranteed paycheck every week. I got two kids, and no one is looking out for them but me. But thats just my choice, and it does in fact impress me that a lot of people have the balls to go out on their own. Lord knows I wish I had my own business....

But my personal experiences are neither here nor there. I'll just mosey on over to some other thread sometime and help out where I can.

Sorry that I tried to shine a light in another direction. I had absolutely no idea judgment was passed based on little numbers on the screen. Apparently I need to earn that respect (god only knows why.... I'm not the one that has something to sell on-line).

Good luck in your '08 efforts....

Sounds just dandy. Five useful threads.

Would it be ok if I do this tonight. I've already wasted a lot of my day at work here, and really need to get things going.

Got a catalog I just made, and got just a few days to get this hummer out there....

I actually do not care.

I am just a but pissed off tat you decided to attack a good member of thew community and bring NOTHING to the table.

For all I care, make those 5 threads in the next MONTH. But please, be helpful.

As for the numbers thing that you got hung up on: No, those numbers SHOULD not mean anything, but sadly, most of the time when someone makes a douche out of them that early... they do.

Fuck it, I am the newb guide, I am used to the noobs asking stupid questions, not knowing how search works, trying to peddle ebooks, etc, etc, ad infinitum...

I try to be helpful, I point them in the same directions I pointed 10K other noobs at, I explain them thar intartubes, whatever. I just get angry with noobs being rude.

So learn and try to be useful. WF has a rough tone to it, and everything is given back tenfold.. but that applies to the good stuff as well.

Wow, this Mr Stitch has managed to get three WF members riled up.
He sure seems to be baiting with each post.
Reminds me of BYA sometimes... Could it be?
I'm bored. Off to go read Mr. Stitches "Digg already has too many 13 year olds fighting, find another site" ebook... Only $29.97... For the next 30 hours...

Put up the 5 helpful posts, in a day, week, or month, and try to not be picking a fight at every turn.

Otherwise, just go back to DP or WF, or whatever rock your 10+ years on the internets came from. 10 years! Ha! Newbie, if you ask me.
