Pingoat Penalty in Google, Directory Algo Bitch Slaps & SEO Guru's R Gay

Either I am having paranoia crack flash backs from the 80's or I could swear that Google has a new algo for pingoat. My site I pingoat, then it gets pushed back in rankings now and the ones I don't do shit to are sailing up the rankings. I pingoat a site I haven't in a month or 2 and bam, it loses rankings. One I don't do nothing to. No links, no pings very little updates, surprise page 2 of Google for huge term and the site I update, get great links, ping, OG content to the fullest gets on page 8 and I am like what the fuck.

Anyone else experience this with pinging Pingoat?

Also, links from directories seem to be weak and actually may hurt your rankings and and whoever says keywords in your domain do not affect SE rankings at all are lame. So, I think there is a new directory bitch slap algo in Google.

Oh and all you noobs that think SEO is like some science or that some SEO's are gods is lame. Anyone can do it if they follow simple SEO steps and work at it every day... SEO gurus are gay and another snake oil scam
 


I used to use it religiously but not too much anymore as I haven't noticed a difference in the sites I ping it with in the SE's - then again I'm framing most of these sites, but it used to be much better

and keywords in your domain - no weight at all, lol
 
I don't think "SEO Gurus" are a complete scam. Most of SEO basics are common knowledge for WF folks such as titles, description, keywords (possibly), keywords in content, H1, sitemap, links, anchor text...

Sure... we all know this... but you would be surprised how many people DON'T or neglect these principles. I'm sure there are "gurus" out there who are constantly doing tests. They might take something like your "keyword in domain" points or pingoat penalty and run a test across several relatively equal websites, monitor the results and pinpoint the reason the penalty comes into play.

I'm not supporting these "used car salesmen" of SEO but I think there are people constantly researching the changes google is making on more of a scientific hypothesis method. Maybe I'm wrong... but I could see how someone is more of an SEO expert by conducting their own tests that show results, coming to conclusions that others might not have.

By the way I consider myself SEO knowledgable but anyone who claims they are an SEO guru or expert is asking for trouble. Google algo changes, what was positive yesterday is penalized tomorrow and all your sites get toilet bowled and you look like a shmuck.

Interested to learn about your findings that directory listings = 0 are negative weight in google. How did you come to this conclusion?

I'm thinking of instituting a standardized promotional mix across all my new websites that would include a decent amount of directory and article submissions but I'd love to hear your opinions.
