Am I the only one left on Earth who only uses his phone to talk?

I like my old silver razr just fine.

Being that I've owned the original 8 gig ipod, like most of you, I never had a huge issue with edge to be honest. So, I'm looking forward to see how much the speed is going to increase. On that note as well, I like the new look. All in all it's a great phone, I really enjoy it. I'm a bit shocked they still didn't include MMS texting though. Other than that, the iphone is just out of this world sick.

yeah, you are. For a while it was the cool/in thing to say "I just want a simple phone where I dial and talk" .. now you just look like an asshole that's out of touch with reality. That reality is it's no longer a phone people want to use, it's a communications/entertainment device, which efficiently allows you to text, email, phone, track and play. Oh and it fits in your pocket. Apple generally are cocks, but, they nailed this device (iphone in general). It's notably improved the when and where I can consume virtually any information and I can directly point to several cases for me personally where it's already paid for itself. In fact, I would go as far as to say, the phone function is secondary to me, I use the web browsing / email / camera far more than the phone itself.

No, you are not! I too, only talk on my phone. It doesn't have a camera. I'm too cheap to get into the Text Message thing. Plus, I have to get my grandchild to program it for me. Anyhoo... you are not alone. :anon.sml:

Well, you have fun being 'in touch with reality'. Personally, I don't need to have an entertainment device on hand 24/7, and I would go crazy with the thing alerting me to new emails every 5 minutes.

I think I will keep my Nokia E90. FTP, SSH, Remote Desktop, browser built on the same core as iphone, unbranded, unlocked, thousands of free applications, GPS, 3.2MP camera, full backlit QWERTY, etc. Oh, and its a year old....

Sounds awesome to me! I with they had these with verizon though. Att doesn't like where I am located because i'm on a shared network or something or other. I used to have att but I got booted for that reason. I'll have to go in and have a chat with them though, maybe we can work something out.

I have AT&T's PanTech Duo and I LOVE it. The iPhone is too big to put in my back pocket of my jeans.

Im getting one, still going to keep my smartphone though. I haven't seen the full specs yet, does iphone2 have gps?

hmm... let's see...

iPhone: $299
2-year AT&T contract at cheapest plan: $40/month - $960/2-years
AT&T Internet plan: $30/month - $720

Total: $1,880

Yeah... umm, I'll stick with my free voip service for calls and my $20 a month, 25mbps/sec connection for Internet surfing.

I've played around with them and there's just something about them that I don't like. Not to mention the fact that I fucking HATE that on-screen keyboard.

But hey, if everyone liked the same things the world would be a pretty boring place.

I really want one of these but am stuck with verizon and there poor phone selection for a while longer. Dropping the price didnt really help. It's the plan that kills.

I'm getting one...but now I'm also pissed that my old iPhone is worth shit. I might just trade it for some out source work.

Why would I want an iphone? I just carry my desktop with me in a backpack.

I have this nice flatscreen monitor that I wear around my neck with a chain so I can plugin, power-up, and check my emails from anywhere there is power. Much more efficient than any cellphone.

My girlfriend prefers the cellphone though. It vibrates.
