CPX and nasty spyware

Some how I my laptop is infected with some nasty spyware. I just can't get rid of it. I have ran the following apps and still n o luck:
Adaware
Spybpot S&D
CCleaner
AVG

And I am downloading super anti-spyware now.

This is has pretty much crippled my browser. I can get to one of my own sites though, and I noticed that my adsense ads and affiliate ads are being replaced with ads that go to cpxinteractive.com . Is there away to turn this guy in. This is fucking bullshit.

The ads appear to be masked in the source code. There are an addition couple hundred lines on nonsense javascript when I view the srouce on my laptop. I can't even get to wickedfire from it, so I am using my POS desktop now.
 


I called their support number and got the usually "We don't send out spyware". I also sent them an email about this. I don't expect any resolution, but I am just pissed that I can't get rid of this shit and had to say something to someone. Last resort is to format.
 
Are you sure its spyware and not adware? There's a pretty big difference.. and when you call a company out like that, you should really distinguish which one it is.

But even so, both are dumb, and good job at posting about it. Maybe that will get them to stop promoting toolbar download campaigns. Neverblue, you listening?? ;x

You probably asked them why their software was affecting your computer. Ask them to contact affiliate number (whatever that ID was) about violating the network's TOS (assuming it does violate them). Make sure you give them as much information as possible, including, but not limited to, a HijackThis! report, etc.

In the future..don't download smileys or toolbars?

You guys are right that it is more likely classified as "spyware". When I called they said we don't support spyware and you need to contact the site that you got it from. I asked the lady if I had the affiliates ID if she could do anything and she told me to email their customer support. I put together I little email explaining the situation and am waiting to hear back.

I don't really blame the ad network as much as the affiliate, but they have to take some responsibility. My guess is that the try to ignore that it is going on because it is still bringing them cash.

I think I have my laptop back up an running thanks to Gumby!

I meant that it is ad-ware not spyware above.
 
lol, I had the same problem just yesterday (same taste in porn aye? :)).

It was injecting javascript on every page with google ads, and was automatically replacing them.

Just download MalwareBytes and do a quick scan: Malwarebytes.org

The thing did what Kaspersky IS 2009, Ad-Aware, Spybod S&D and several other programs couldn't do.

I think I got it form somebody who keeps leaving comments on my site. I click through to see where it went. I thought I had this guy blocked. He used to leave comments and every url would be somecrap.com/members so I block all comment with /members in the url. Now he linking differently and I have to find anew way to block him. It is a pain having to moderate every comment but it may come down to that.
