Obama is the dumbest liar in history

seriously, doesn't that idiot know McCain is just waiting for the final debates to let him have it about his welfare reform lies? I swear, the dude is the biggest dingbat and hot air balloon since the beginning of American history.

Pretty scarry to see how the media hype reaches so many dumbasses to give a doofus like that an actual shot at the Presidency.
Well the media hype this shit, and black out ron paul!

I can't wait til Obama wins and pulls the troops out. It'll be open season on Americans and everyone will wonder WTF happened.

Damn I almost missed a Obama thread! Obama is not unlike every politician that has came before him. He is moving his campaign to the middle. He has flip-flopped on all his crazy lefty shit, even bringing troops home from Iraq.

He has realized you can't win an election nor run a country with San Francisco ideas and values. He is a chump..just like the rest of them.

Yeah but your opinion doesn't count coz you believe the 9/11 conspiracy theories

Anybody that's retarded enough to think the US government had any part in 9/11, I stop talking to because it's obvious they're a loon

I love the way you think. It's not too long ago when everyone who thought that this planet was round was considered to be a "loon".

I'm sorry, bro but China will never be on top. Anyone who claims that cannot be taken seriously. Chinese people are dedicated, hard working and such, but creativity is what rules the world. America is the land of ideas and inventions. No country like China will ever even come close to having any sort of leadership role in the world whatsoever.

What the hell is this? Who the fuck are you? What food are you eating?

Do you make any money?

Where do you live?

Wish to get killed?

Might as well jump into the flame war.

LotsOfZeroes: Conservative != Republican. Especially when it comes to finance. This is the first time we've gone to war without raising taxes. Instead, it's financed through Chinese and Arab debt. A lot less people would have yellow bumper stickers if they actually had to fiscally put into the war effort.

And every single source everyone here has mentioned is absurd. Media Matters is just as bad as Fox News.

The WSJ used to be the best news source but they've added some bias into it. The American Enterprise Institute now has a virtual monopoly on the opinion page. The ONLY place to get decent news analysis is the Economist.

Obama, from what I understand, wants to pull out combat troops out of Iraq and transfer them to Afghanistan. Regiments will still be left behind for logistics and police/military training.

And to think that the surge was the reason for the dropoff in violence hasn't done the proper diligence when analyzing the situation. Right now we're paying "volunteer groups" (read: former insurgents) to help keep the peace. We've also got Al Sadr in a corner and he's backing down, and you have the Anbar Awakening.

The problem that is going to come around is when we stop paying off our former enemies, groups like the 1920 Revolution Brigade. Then they'll go back to being thugs.

Things have improved immensly. July saw 5 combat fatalities, which is unheard of for a ground war. And the death rate for the past 5 years is much less than 20 years ago, when we weren't even at war. Non-combat casualties, however, skyrocketed... so that's more a compliment for advances in combat triage and modern medicine.

As an independent, this election is very simple for me. Bush has totally fucked the country over the last 8 years with overreaching conservatism. The uber-wealthy (no, not Paul) received tax break after tax break. This government is rewarding failed executives of failed companies. All of this done with the idea that it would trickle down the and provide economic growth. Well, where's that growth? The war in Iraq is a dismal failure from a spending standpoint. And, our civil liberties have been trampled on with the Patriot Act.

From McCain's own policy postions, it's pretty clear that he believes Bush's policies are correct for America and wishes to continue them as well as expand some.

I, however, do not agree with McCain. Therefore, I will vote for Obama. IMO, the pendulum needs to swing the other way a bit. And, I don't want a President that I can "have a beer with". I wan't a President that has some brains in his head.

wow... and you're wrong.

The thing that gets on my fuckin nerves is that the average american doesn't realize that it ain't 20 years ago the Euro is at an all time high the Russians are dropping $10,000 3 times a week at Cafe Pushkin on shit food because they are swimming in oil money and the Chinese are kissing the africans' ass so they can get all the oil, precious metals and resources they need to bring back the ole emporer's reign. As an American expat, I wish you guys fucking really understood what it was/is like when you have a leader that the world fucking hates. To see Germans of all people and the French as well waving American flags after the hell it was like being an expat with Bush in office is an Experience probably only someone's grand-dad who fought in WWII can understand.

Yes Obama is less experienced than McCain - so was Reagan and Kennedy. We need a leader that will restore our position in the world. It is sad that only 17% of Americans even have passports! How are we to compete when we have the you-know-whos with all the oil, when before Bush was in offece we had a ONE TRILLION DOLLAR SURPLUS now we have a 4 TRILLION DOLLAR DEFICIT!! The WORLD ECONOMY IS 50 TRILLION FOR CHRIST'S SAKE.

Where was fucking John "Maverick" McCain when this was going down? Where was fiscal conservatism? John McCain's economic advisors sound like they godttheir degrees from some lead forms I had them fill out at the University of Phoenix - because that's about as serious as their logic is when I hear them talk. To suggest that market signaling is going to get Opec to stop holding oil over our heads is straight bullshit.

I donated money to Mike Huckabee. Since he didn't win, I will be voting for Obama. I ask everyone to consider that the world's power structure is changing and we need someone who can restore our position in the world.

Lastly, let's stop talking about how old McCain is because it's getting old and let's stop talking about how Arrogant Obama is as well. If you made fuckin Law Review (just as a buddy of yours what it's like when a guy drops the H bomb on a girl, lol) you'd be arrogant too.

Do you want limped dick pansy for a President? As a girl, I can tell that is the last thing I want to see, it would be like yelling "honey, there's a mouse in my closet" and he runs behind you - sissy....

Also let's face facts, Obama is a half black half white dude. Some people don't trust black people because they eat all the fried chicken at KFC and talk all the big watermelon during summertime (LMAO, LOL). No but seriously, if you haven't grown up around a certain kind of people, you might feel uncertain. It's natural. People need to stop faking and come out and say, you know, I don't know about this black dude but the fact is that we are all American and those a-holes who bombed us didn't care what color American they killed, they just saw us as all the same, so let's try to do something about this 4 trillion dollar debt and get back to being the greatest country on earth.

All of this done with the idea that it would trickle down the and provide economic growth. Well, where's that growth?

The growth isn't hard to find. Here's the #s from the US Dept of Commerce for our GDP since 2001. If you notice, there wasn't a loss reported in any quarter. In fact, I'm not sure when the last time the US had a loss in GDP.

Now, in all fairness, I doubt that Bush had much influence over this just like I don't think Clinton had much influence over it when he was in office.
