Well, I think you guys may have convinced me. There's a lot of support here for Samsung, especially that model. Unfortunately, it's 'deactivated' at newegg, but it looks like this is it's slight successor:

I'm really considering that one. The specs are awesome and it looks good. Hell, even the price isn't bad. I could even get two and stay within my budget.

Bad experience with them? I'm probably going to go with Newegg anyways, but I'd be interested to hear.
 
Am I the only one who likes non-widescreen monitors? For viewing websites I'd rather have the extra height pixels than the extra width pixels.

Obviously if you watch a lot of movies widescreen is better but that's what 52" TV's are for.

i 've got a Benq too, 24 inches. it is beautiful!

The 24 inches is totally different from the 22" because of the higher resolution. Even the actually is not that big of a different, you will be able to see much much more
 
I like the Samsungs myself.

Are you in the U.S.? If so, go to the local Costco.......they are carrying the Samsung 24-inch models in the $350 range.........great deal.

33 inch monitor! But what do I know, I only use my 14 inch laptop .. er, well two 14 inch laptops.
 
I like samsung too, I have the 920n and have no complaints! LG are a solid choice also, most of my PC (DVD, CD etc wise) is LG.
 
Dell 3007WFP-HC 30" monitor flanked by two 20" Dell monitors in portrait mode on the right and left. It's awesome for doing work, watching SlingPlayer, and having stock trading software running. It's also good for playing driving simulators and racing games.

I gotta talk my wife into letting me get this. :)

I really like my 21 inch LG monitor, it was fairly cheap and is great quality, I've been thinking about getting another.

I agonized over a new monitor purchase for some time with around a $600 budget. I considered going with dual 20 inchers but found that all the 20" monitors of the quality I was after were over $400 a piece so I decided to just get a good 24" widescreen, a Dell UltraSharp 2408WFP. I like it a lot except for a weird issue with reds being too high contrast. I'll probably get a calibrator anyway, though.

Eventually I'll get two 2007FP's to go on either side of it.

Well, I use a 17" NEC I bought 6 years ago that is still as good today as it way the day I took it out of the box. I'll eventually get a 24" display, I'm just in no rush.
